The trumpet Roney is using is a Martin Comitee model; they went out of production a while ago. Most of them that are still around are in private collections.

Yeah it's Miles horn, pretty sick actually, Miles gave it to Wallace after a gig when he asked him if he had a trumpet and he replied no, and Miles just went here I'll give you one of mine. He's the only guy that Miles personally mentored in his life.

I saw this group on the Thelonius Monk Institute show and they said what they had to say! Buy the cd and hear them stretch out, it won a grammy easily 'cause it was not a throw- together thing. It was dine 'right'!
