N64 sounded as though the credits should roll with it (considering it's the final track)

GCN's wasn't meant to feel space-age, but the track there wasn't in space

DS sounded a little slow, but gave a more melodic rhythm for a Rainbow Road

Wii fitted the track design best

this theme remindes me of the Great memories when I got the red Mario kart DS bundle about 6 years ago, and playing this game nonstop just to get to rainbow road. Great great times, and many hours of frustration just to 3 stars on my name!

@themadmonkeystudios I think it's a remake from a fan game. As I remember, New Super Mario Kart (PC version of SMK) have a VERY similar Rainbow Road music (IF Nintendo had not just remixed the same song).

1 - Download ZSNES (the best SNES emulator for PC) and SMK's ROM file.

2 - Download New Super Mario Kart (NSMK), it's fan-made, I particularly prefer the 1st option.
