I am Colombian and am very proud of Colombian flower exports. However, such controlled and closed growing environments are partly responsible for the decline in bee/bird populations. I wonder also about the pesticides and fertilizers used in this type of mass flower production. What are Colombia's flower producers doing to the environment? How could they be successful and make wiser ecological choices?
