I am a major history buff and love anything along these lines. I remember being angry thet Meyers didn't resemble Henry VII, but was happy when Showtime said they did it on purpose. They wanted a sexy Henry VII, not the fat one from history. I love how it follows the historical events. Yes it is sad that Anne gets beheaded, she was a great wife to him unlike Catherine Howard that will be in later seasons. Good Job showtime for creating show thats entertaining,fun and historical.
If you guys are enjoying this, there is a 2 discs set on Charles the II. My English sister-in-law gave it to me 3 years ago for Christmas in England. It's really good. The knight that use to beat Heath Ledger in A Kights Tale is Charles the II. Check it out if you can. I have not found it in America, but if you can find it, get it guys!

Some of you need to go back to school and read up on Henry. Henry didn't get fat until late in his life. When Henry was younger he was considered the best lookin king in all of chrisendom and was very atletic. look at paintings of him early in his life.
The only thing that really bugs me about this is that Henry VIII was much older while all this transpired in reality. John is just too young but he plays the role very while despite his youth.

The Telivision show is amazing. It has drama, violence, and sex. With great acting. They took masterpiece theater and put it into a hole tv show. Amazing.

I'm stunned by the beautiful cinematography and the historical acuracy. Wonderful cast as well. I think it's charming that 2 alum from Titus, the spectacular Julie Taymor film, are together again (Meyers and Frain). Thank you for whetting the general viewing apetite for this season.

I wish I got showtime and HBO. I've already missed that miniseries Rome and now I have to miss this AND that new show about John Adams.

The Telivision show is amazing. It has drama, violence, and sex. With great acting. They took masterpiece theater and put it into a hole tv show. Amazing.

I love The Tidor series and showing the full episode 1, season 2, was quite a shocking and delightful surprise. I applaud Showtime for being smart enough to sir it on YouTube. If peopele weren't fans of the series prior to this they will be now.
