  • give it a eb 14 and mdb 78 and a fusion heart itl be done

  • Filmed with a toaster?

  • so weve got maximum strength down, now all we need to perfect is maximum speed and maximum armor, and invent invisibility cloaks

  • SOON WE WILL BE FIGHTING ARMORED MECH SUITS WITH MINI GUNS ON THE SHOULDERS, DITCH THE AK!! PULL OUT THE RPG!!!

  • still a long way from being complete but a good first step Can anyone say Starcraft?!?!? loool

  • who ever says halo is unrealistic can suck my ballsack

  • Yeah go join the army to have a Halo armor.

  • Will there be a "maximum speed" button?

  • It seems like bubblegum crisis suits

  • humans are creazy.... and i thought terminator was just a movie!

  • The american army is wank anyway lol

  • did he say 72 pounds??? and the old guy picked it up like it was a 20??? holy dang that guy mustve been buff when he was young

  • Like "prototype" from halo legends, just needs some good armor and guns..lots of guns! 8D

  • fuck me......... Robo cop here it comes technology is Asome

  • thats awesome

put some claws on it and ur set =)

  • next thing ya noe itll be gundam0079 all over again...

  • crysis!

  • ces toute une avancer technologique pareil ....... on peu utiliser ca dans plusieur domen pas juste dans larmé .... come dans la construction ou dans les chantier ...... ces hot moi jador ....

  • OMG THIS IS FUCKING AWESOME!

  • How much?

  • GO UTAH!!!

  • its like a remake of the half life suit but bigger

  • who knows after use in the military they may become mainstream for ticketed and trained manual laiborers. I can see riotinto and BHP Billiton buying into these to reduce self harm in manual work. Mining companies are very big on safety and this would help somethin awsome

  • It's hardly ready. In the video, it's tethered to a generator the whole time. A battery pack plus armor would make it more bulky and much heavier.

The reason Halo's Mjollnir spartan armour is so sleek is because it has a layer some special reactive metal, which acts instead of using motors in real life. No such thing exists though, so we have to use bulky motors instead.

  • It just needs a portable 48-72 hour power pack and armour it up and it will be ready in my opinion.

  • or wireless power from satellites. ?

  • Or Wireless power from any source by now... Something like this was just revealed... getting energy from Wireless Lan points.

  • @ewigkase1 wireless power?! really?

  • @SuckerGamer never heard of it is real just needs more work so far they have been able to power a 60 watt bulb with more development they could power more powerful things years away but possible. for a small ex sample you can buy these pads for your ipods that you can just put your pod on there you dont have to plug in anything but the pad and lay the Ipod on there . so yes really

  • @ewigkase1 well a the problem of plasma discharge set it back at least a decade but yeah now days it more plausible

  • @ewigkase1 ive got an electric toothbrush that does it too

  • @ewigkase1 that's not at all the same concept.. the power goes directly through the pads and into the electronics, without any distance between, if you were to hover it just above the pad, it wouldn't work. wireless energy goes waaaaay back. look up Nikola Tesla and Tunguska. apparently he came up with a way, but his funds were cut because he wanted the world to have free energy and of course, his funders, didnt believe in free. you can blame them if his theory was real. and i believe it was.

  • @SuckerGamer A tesla coil can be used to transmit power wirelessly. It was invented over 100 years ago by nicola tesla.

  • @MrAwsome514 i already know about Tesla Coils but, the range isent that great, considering you would go around on the batlle field and what not, you wouldent be able to carry around a heavy device like that, without it being in the way

  • @SuckerGamer Nicola tesla had a very large coil that he was able to use to transmit power several miles. By the way the coil is the transmitter. The recieving end does not need much in the way of heavy equipment to recieve the power.

  • @ewigkase1

Wireless Power? Is that even possible? Man, if it is possible then machines that use alot of power wouldnt have to rely on gasoline or lug around tons of batteries......

  • @ewigkase1 that sounds like the wifi electricity my housemate came up with, he is thinking of trademarking the idea too.... yeah.... hes in art college....

  • This is like some Jim Camerons Aliens shit!

  • It dont have much agility, but a strong lifting machine lolol..

  • that is insane. lol spartan from halo 3

  • -cough- GUNDAM -cough-

  • They will probably need humans inside for awhile, or untill they figure out how to make robots gracefull enough to walk well. Right now there isn't a robot that exists that can walk gracefully let alone run or go upstairs.

  • yes and no there is a robot that has been designed for the military that can be kicked and walk on is and seems to do well

  • BIGDOG yeah? - he's pretty cooL!

  • oh if you want the clear version peep's its tright here.

Alien Exoskeleton for U.S. Army [Future Tech]

    Your welcome

    For Unity Peace and Truth

  • Looks like a f*ckin' Doomsday device

  • this was a few years ago they already made this suit more compact

  • do they have a video of it more compact or pictures or somthing lol

  • sadly the Jap's University already got 1 ready for rent for $1700 per month. call HAL-3. dont know if they got a similar version for military use but . atm it's rent out for elder pp and handicap.. it can read the nerve signal ( not like this design , need muscle power ...) and enhance the power up to 3 times or so . and the battery in the back of the waist somehow significantly smaller than expected

  • The one they designed is only for elderly or Disabled people. Something that small and fragile couldnt possibly be used in Combat, it would crack like Toy if they tripped and fell.

  • umm Hal-3 ,it can tap to the nerve signal instead of mimic muscle. The sensor + frame work is already done , so if they want , replace with bigger battery + better motors + better material won't be as difficult as it used to be. won't be surprise if the developer already work on a military version of it. oh oh check out Aiko 's hands( canadian robot), seen something interesting

  • why put a human in it when you can make small remote controlled bots?

  • Because people are able to do things that robots cant. for example, humans can make concious desicions.

when you are speaking of the body, it is much more economical to have a human body controlling the suit instead of making a robot that can move as efficiently as the human body. Even though we do posess the technology to make robots that can move like a person, it would be far too expensive to make such a thing to go into combat and be destroyed.

  • 0:56

"We did it 200 times until we got bored"

    lol someones gonna die :3

  • 500

  • I am Ironman!!!!!!!

  • holy shit

  • with wireless electricity these suits can be deployed for various roles.

  • Once we figure out how to power the suit reliably, just imagine the amount of armor and weaponry these suits could carry. It's the durability and power of a machine mixed with the intelligence and judgment of its human operator.

Mechas may be fiction for now, but their reality is just a matter of time.

  • i hope i will be the first i already got a MK-I

  • 'Japan already beat us to it.. Not a joke its true.

  • This thing is uber. It's definetely not mecha yet but if they bring it to the battlefields imagine how heavy weapons could a single footman carry with that kind of strength support... amazing.

  • o yeah mechs are gunna come a lot faster than pepole think. Heh, screw tanks and jets they need to get with armored core and gundam cuz thats were it's at. Mech builing is so gunna be my carrer in the future. just imagine that body armor suits and mech suits on the battle field in real life!

  • I'm gonna build myself one ...then I'm gonna go through down town Tokyo blowing fire out my mouth and stomp into pieces all the little paper houses and power stations while going "RAWR" and chasing all the Japanese people down the street!!!

  • This is the beginning of Space marines :D

  • damn yeah FOR THE EMPEROR i wish i was some kind of vampire so i could you know do that shit i wanna be able to fight heretics and shit

  • ... Eeee... wtf doc?

  • Sooner or later, tech will get like Mechwarrior and Iron Man.

yes they have issues with Power Management, think though on a Large Scale. make them Mechwarrior style, Large Mechs and Power Shouldnt be an Issue, mini Reactors just need to put out enough for it to run, the Guns,Missiles, etc.... those can all be fixed on it Easily, you nly need Power for it to move and thats it.

If we did make those a reality, the Battlefield would be completely altered, Mechs and Power Armor everywhere lol.

  • It's not that easy i think. First they have to use lots of materials to make one mech.

Other issue is the power. Putting mini reactor would be dangerous because of lack of protection. One missile/big gun shot and it will fall.

Next is the size. The bigger it is the harder it falls, it's not hard to hit big target.

Last one - weaponry. Big mech - big weaponry. That means it will be terribly easy to destroy when you shoot at gun or reactor.

    With regards:

    -Chocolate man.

  • True, it wont be 100% simple, even if they solve one Issue another is bound to come up.

Dont really need Big Weapons, you can take a Howitzer and attach it, now of course the Recoil will be an Issue. Vulcan Miniguns can solve the Small Arms issue.

True the Size it it will take alot of Resources, and of course you will need a Stable power source that is also Durable as well as powerful.

It doesnt have to be the Fast mechs you see in MechAssualt, it can be Big,Armoured,Tough, and Slow.

  • Yeah however... even more familiar to me is idea of heavy combat suits. Equipped with some anti-armour/heavy weaponry that could support the standard troops. Like big calibre (typo?) guns that could shoot through walls like barret.. But still the power source will be problem. *Thinks*

  • True.... a Small "Power Armour" Variant, something that is small enough to hold a regular Soldier, but Has enough Firepower to take a tank 1-V-1.

Definatly Needs to have Anti-Armor/Anti-Infantry/Anti-Air, And on a Smaller scale the Power shouldnt be that big of an Issue, One issue that might come up is the Drive Mechanism, There has to be a fluid way for it to move, One that wont put too much of a shock on the Pilot.

  • dude they need to make a real life armored core mech

  • totally

  • we would also need a more powerful energy souce in order to achive this goal

  • In 50 years the battlefield will look like Halo lol

  • lol i was about to say the same.

  • They still have issues with power generation and storage, not to mention they'll need to make a factory to mass produce these things.

  • I say bring it on a challenge is a challenge

  • JAJAJAJA In 20 years GUNDAMs will exist JAJAJA XD

  • o yeah definutley

  • dude im lookin to be the guy to take this to the next level. i wana design a mech suit and better military vehicles.

    MARINES OORAH!!!!

  • IRON MAN!!!!! HAHAHAAA

  • bout damn time!!! i was wondering when we'd get to the time when we had mech suits. we need to design them so they look like gort from the day the earth stood still!

  • Yeah!!

  • amen!!

  • lol, I saw this on Discovery Channel.. Cool tho! Sadly, still in experimental phase~ T_T

  • The Field Testing Phase begins This Summer from what I learned, then they will try attaching armour to it, this is just the bare bones of it until it fully covers the Soldier

  • i wnt one

  • impressive.

  • That's it, i want one right now!

  • real.

  • fuck you engineers, I wanted to do this when i was sooo young before i even saw what one looked like... I swear i will make the best mech suit known to man, and people will fear it, but only because of what it can do...

  • what the fuck are you talking about?

  • I'm talking about how they beat me to my idea.

  • Inventing new weapons is a sin.

  • It is not, where did you read that? I want it quoted please, and properly.

  • Oh by the way, the mech suit isn't a weapon, just merely a machine that helps humans do simply tasks, now if you are impling that I will put newly invented weapons(not by me) on it, then you are right, because the mech suit is a military application.

  • There was already a japanese "mech" that already lifts heavy objects

  • Iron Man!

  • This is like the Halo suit... but far less gay, and far more LEGIT.

  • wow. I WANT ONE!!!

  • yehp asains did it first lol and theirs has hands but ours move cooler and u can let go lol awsome still....but they shud juz combine them

  • hooray!! lets develope more things to murder each other with!

  • why not it will give us more wars to model action movies after! think black hawk down!

  • What happens when the robots turn against us! That be funny for just a second.

  • it is in no way AI... nor was that mentioned. it could be controlled (remotely)...

  • ok get ur mind of irobot for a sec and think reality

  • You all took me too seriously. I was only messing.

  • japan all ready did it

trueness its beeen covered by the nesws already

  • Dude they may be behind the real mecha at Anime expo this year!

  • they should make like an iron man power suit that would kick ass.

  • they actually are making iron man suits for the military. should be released in 2010

  • that look just like ironman?

  • you know one of these days it is gonna come down to these "master chief" suits

  • Honestly... US is gunna be farther and farther into Technology When this is Fully done..

  • Japan did this long time ago.

  • you watch to many anime

  • No, check out PAL.

  • This guy is right, PAL is far more developed than this US military piece of shit. On top of that, this US military exoskeleton ripped the Japanese version off completely. Think of it as Coke as opposed to a generic brand of cola. Anime has nothing to do with this. In fact, the US adopts A LOT of Japanese, Russian and German technology. I doubt this exoskeleton will reach mass production just like all the other cool shit they don't think the soldiers' lives are worth.

  • You got so right there.

  • we need this in IRAQ

  • Fuck yourself.

  • What happens when you gotta take a leak?

  • Yeap, this is a Spartan 117 suite in the making. The future is around the corner people!

  • 117 is just an armor. Master Chief is more of a cyborg. But yeah, this is kinda cool. Think about making it bigger... ALOT bigger. Full Metal Panic, fuck yeah.

  • Damn straight! FMP all the way.

  • WICKID!

  • MMAASSTTTEEERRR CCHHHEEIIIFFF

  • blurrr

  • Yay!!

  • the era of gundam gears has began!!!!!!hehe
