I know what you mean mate, I just wish that we would have had 1 or 2 moves worked out on the training ground. It's all very well huffing and puffing about but a bit of cuteness & guile in certain situations should be 2nd nature to the more experienced lads. Heskey and Johnson were good and Stevie G did some positive things but have Lennon & SWP got any idea about wing play? For their clubs they have... so why complicate things.... get round the back and play it square. GOAL!!!

@dogtag869, The yanks are the best England will face in the group but the performances will need to improve. Heskey holds it up well but hasn't scored at all since last February, get Crouch in and have a real go at the other two teams because they'll crumble if England score early. Get Rooney more involved too. Some teams start slow and do Ok so no need to panic yet,. I quite agree about overcooking it on the wing, beat the guy and cross it ffs! Simple. I'm not English btw but Good luck anyway.

All I would say to him now is lay the goalie down on the next chance like the one that he had on Saturday. Trying to blast it past isnt working.
