@eusebium7 My pleasure - I will see if I can find some more of his music, although I have to say that it does not generate a lot of interest, even with the Schumann connection.
@PSearPianist good point. the slow movement at about 6-odd minutes (I should check that and will later- too many things open...!) - which the composer (I presume; someone did!) orchestrated as an intermezzo for orchestra (op.48 I think? It's understandable; it's a nice piece) - perhaps? nothing wrong with playing a good slow movement of a sonata separately. (well, by 20th century standards, apparently- but not by 19th century standards, and it's a 19thc sonata :) )
I started to write about this music and my computer went into update mode , so you might get another comment winging its way to you. The music is in keeping with the torrential rain we are having right now. Torrential passion, suggestive, overpowering and figuratively superb in your piano-forte. Bravo my friend. jannarta.
Bargiel is a significant figure...never heard one piece of his piano oeuvre before so thank you....

@PSearPianist I have MIDIs of his piano sonata but would love to hear an actual performance...

@eschiss1 Thank you - I'm not sure if YouTube would be the best place for a performance of a large-scale work.

@jannarta Thank you for that. I only got the one comment! Sorry to hear about the rain - it is dry here in Sussex.
