...Yes, I'm Jamaican, so is my family, my grandparents, and my great-grandparents. =) All Jamaicans have backgrounds from another country, be in Africa, India, China, Lebanon, England, Scotland, etc. All these people and their families are born and raised in Jamaica for generations, just like many Americans. The only true 'natives' are the Arawak Natives of long ago. So, perhaps the only way one could truly 'look' Jamaican is if one were of Arawak heritage...which is now non-existent.

So there culture is far from African but a mix of traits genes and cultures from the previous societies...
