@ishakbinhayat YUP. UNLESS the Romanian government waived Dr Silviu Ionescu's immunity, it would not have been possible to arrest or detain the former envoy, even if he did remain in Singapore after the tragic hit-and-run

accident.

This was due to his accreditation as a diplomat to Singapore, meaning

his privileges and immunities would apply to all his actions, whether

official or private.
