Richie Kotzen is the best of both worlds shreds like nobody's busyness while putting so much feel to it, I don't know any other guitar player but Richie that has accomplished such balance between technique and feel . Guitar players tend to be better in one or another while Richie Kotzen is best in both.

As a huge Lynch fan, he is admittedly outgunned here and he would be the first to tell you that, but he never was about speed and super-technical prowess. Kotzen and Gilbert are the kings of that genre, but I would rather listen to George 99% of the time. It's all subjective really, but all 3 are badass muthaf**kers.

Paul Gilbert is great but Richie Kotzen can play anything outside the circle of rock, he can play blues-jazz-rock-fusion and Rnb. the most versatile and complete player and sings better, he should be put on stage with Greg Howe, Guthrie Govan and Shawn Lane ("teach Paul with fusion too but Paul stick with rock").. Lynch is a great metal guitarist, i love his guitar works with Dokken.

the only thing i can say about the comments made about lynch is....the three guitarists here are good...but lynch just doesnt sound that great live...he tries way to hard...but his studio albums speak for them selves he has a different sound and u really have to apprecitae him for his sound not his face melting guitar solos bc lets face it he doesnt melt ur face of like gilbert but hes has such great tone...as for kotzen...im sorry but he's just an average guitar player...

@Thuggybcobhc Ummm... George did not invent tapping... tapping has been done for centuries. Tapping has been documented as early as the 50's on guitar. A lot of jazz guitarists used it in the 60's even Steve Hackett and Don Harris were tapping before George. But I agree with the Gilbert statement... Paul rules!

I've seen many vids from these 2 shows, and Lynch can barely seem to hold together a solo. Every one of his spots sounded "off" - Like one big mistake after another. Really poor execution each time. Not sure what happened to him. Too much time lifting weights, and not enough time lifting his guitar...?
