According to Wiki, just ex G-APEY is airworthy. Be good if it could be saved and repatriated, significant aircraft of UK. Great videos, excellent work by the way. The Viscount was the first plane I ever flew in, my Mum told me, as in 1970 when I took this flight, I was only a 2 year old baby. Gladly, one of our airline’s Viscount 807s has been preserved, though the hangar it sits in is quake damaged, public currently not allowed (V807 cn283, ZK-BRF ‘City of Christchurch’).
Ah....I did give it a thumbs up :)....but so many other things happen during run up and taxi..... :( ....it could have been worse...it might have been the seat-back of a Sud Caravelle~ Your effort IS appreciated.
@hotelgulf Mate, I was asked to upload this from someone who had an avid interest in the viscount and so I had no control over what the footage contained. This is not my work but I am glad that he took the trouble to film inside the cabin of what was one of the final flights undertaken in european skies. I have my own personal memories of this aircraft but sadly when I was flying regularly on the type such technology was not available to me. I think its better than nothing ? come on thumbs up!
@rodjames98 According to Wikipedia, in August 2010, this particular Viscount remains airworthy in Lanseria, Africa. I think if a syndicate like that of the Vulcan XH558 could band up, this profound bit of Brit Aviation heritage could be saved and kept to fly at air shows, and of course also do a few charter pax carrying flights.
@Pullisto is that so ? I know that afew of them went down to Lanserisa, and were staged via malta. But I was also told that some of them were broken up at malta and never made the journey? I think they were all in parcelforce livery.

There are a couple parked that are in air worthy condicion. This is one of my favorite airplanes, after the 727,lockheed electra, ATR, and others.

What a shame most of what we get to see is the back of the seat. What were you thinking?

@airconguy1 sadly all now scrapped except the odd one here and there preserved but certainly none airworthy.

@rodjames98 Apparently, there are 2-3 in Africa that are still nearly air worthy. its a shame they don't fly anymore

@airconguy1 is that so ? I have little faith they will fly again tho.
