keep the knees pushed out, dont buckle them in. Youw ill blow out our knee if you keep doing this. Nice depth. Stay in control the whole way, don't move your feet. Keep up the good work.
@endorphine99 Buddy, I've been working out longer than you've been alive. I've forgotten more than you've ever known. If you want to argue and make childish insults on the internet, then fine. I'm the one who has every single expert, doctor, and professional bodybuilder on his side in this argument.
@endorphine99 lol, it's got nothing to do with balls. It has everything to do with brains. Anybody with a level of expertise will tell you that somebody this age should be working in the 10-12 rep range. The rep ranges you mentioned work only with seasoned lifters whose muscles are mature. His are still growing and will be for many years.
Dude, it's probably not a good idea to be lifting with such intensity at such a young age. Your body is still in a developmental mode. Low rep sets carry a high risk of injury. Because your body is still growing it's more prone to long term damage due to heavy weights. If you were to hurt yourself, you might be living with an injury for the rest of your life.
Awesome display of strength. Just do sets of 10 or so. Easier on your body and it'll build more muscle.
@ffryan. As long as you lift with intensity and use good form there should be nothing wrong with using heavy weights. Why would all the high school sports programs allowing players to use heavy weights to build strength.
@73Nateman Probably because better athletes ensure their coaches job security. Many of these high school sports programs are the same ones to introduce steroids and other questionable supplementation to young people. How many high school coaches are concerned with how healthy a player is at 30 years old? I've met hundreds of coaches in my life. When you stop playing for them, your value is basically nothing. What do they care if you have back, knee, or joint problems the rest of your life.
@ffryan ya but whether your 15 or 30 lifting weights always produces a risk. But knowing how to lift properly and safely should reduce the risk of that. Eventually whether you lift or not by the time you hit 40 youre going to have some type of joint problem, so might as well enjoy what you do now
@73Nateman Yes, regardless of your age there is a potential risk for injury. The big difference is a 30 year old's body is fully developed, a 15 yr old's is not. Most teenagers bodies do not grow proportionately over the teenaged years. One part always grows faster than another. This makes lifting weights more dangerous because your body is naturally "off".
I'm not quite sure why you think that just because you hit 40 that means you'll automatically have joint problems. That is not the case.
@ffryan i am 15 and have been lifting for almost 4 years, 2 years seriously now and am 5'11. I plan on entering several bodybuilding and powerlidting comps next year and do not have any health problems. I also play football and football has given me more injuries than bodybuilding.
@73Nateman I'm glad you are healthy and I sincerely hope you stay that way. Unfortunately many other young men your age cannot say the same. I've seen more than a few teenagers who are already dependent on regular visits to a chiropractor and regular physio. I would still encourage you to not go full bore until you're 18, because that is when your body is typically done growing. You don't want to be one of those teenagers who is dependent on daily painkillers.
@ffryan thank you for the advice, and i'll tell you the truth, I am really dedicated to bodybuilding, eating 5 meals a day plus 2 or 3 shakes and I train hard. I don't want to wait till 18 or 20 to start from sratch. I try to use heavy as humanly possible weights while using strict form. I know my body pretty well and really didn't start going full bore until about a year ago. Thanks again
@73Nateman There is an old saying, "abs are built in the kitchen". Diet is probably 80% of bodybuilding. Your nutritional plan sounds good so far. Keep that up.
I know how frustrating it is for you (I was once a 15 yr old weight lifter too). Unless you are genetically gifted, the ability to pack on muscle mass will probably be hard until you're 20 or so. Try not to get frustrated, it'll come. My advice for now. Keep up the hard work in the gym......
@ffryan When I first started I was 120 and skinny now I am 180 . I really want to compete all my life and win. I think I have the genetics to do well. I have been training Doggcrap style for a blast of 8 weeks and have gained 12 lbs. I have been eating 4,000 cals a day and haven't really gained any fat. Dante Trudel says that he doesn't want teens doing the program but I am a little crazy i guess. I can generate a lot of intensity on that one set
@73Nateman When I was 16 I went from 135 to 160 in a matter of months. It's hard to accurately gauge growth when you're a teenager because there is so much natural growth already occurring. Be very careful about how quickly you put on weight. Muscles can be built very quickly, but it takes the joints and bones much longer to catch up and adjust to the new weight you're walking around at. Take your time. Rome wasn't buit in a day. This is an endurance race.
@73Nateman Looks like you've put a lot of thought into your diet. Good job. Most teenagers highly neglect this. What is your total intake of carbs/protein/fat?
Im on MD.com I don't go on bb.com. Thank you for replying . I pay alot of attention to my diet and think of food as fuel. I do allow myself a cheat once or twice a week
@73Nateman You should come over to bb com. There is a great teen section. Every aspect of bodybuilding is covered and there are a lot of guys who really know their stuff. A few even have advanced degrees in nutrition, kinesiology, etc.
@ffryan MD also has a great teen section and great convorsations and videos. I have found that having higher fats and moderate carbs has done better than high carbs and low fat.
And train your core muscles. Abs, obliques, lower back, etc. Most injuries happen in the core area and this is an area where you can train pretty safely at a young age. The stronger your core is, the bigger lifts you will have.
Be careful about the big weights. Most professional bodybuilders don't lift anywhere near what they are capable of. It's all about making the most of the weight you have on the bar. Keep your reps between 10-12. At your age that will be most beneficial.
mrstropper..your a dumb ass. i am 14 190 and can max one rep at 350. but thats not the point. the point is ou are hella weak and this guy is waaaay stronger than your ass
DO MORE REPS TIL YOU GET YOUR FORM DOWN. YOUR SHAKY ASS KNEES MADE ME CRINGE. YOUR STABILIZERS ARE WEAK AND IF YOUVE SEEN AN INJURY IN PERSON YOUD FIX THAT BEFORE YOU TRY HEAVY WEIGHT. pARALLEL SQUATS ARE NOT BELOW PARALLEL OR THEY WOULD BE CALLED BELOW PARALLEL DOUCHE BAG BELOW ME. WIDEN YOUR STANCE AND DROP YOUR ASS TO THE FLOOR
ok first off....there are weight belts less than 6' to your rite and u dont wear one????? plus it aint low enuff. squats are considered to break parrellel
hey man, im 15 as well and squat 455, weigh 185 and am 5'9. just thought i should let you know that you are kind of leaning to the left when you come up, try to go a bit lower as well. goodjob though. 5 star.
HOLY SHIT, you are somethin else! Where do I sign up for your fan club?! Here's an idea why don't you post the video where the underdeveloped tendons in your knees snap and all 455 pounds come crashing down on your fat ass to destroy your spine. I'd get a good laugh out of it.
what about it makes it a joke? 335 isnt a bad squat for a 15 year old. i dont think it was supposed to be a joke, or you would have had like 10 pounds on the bar.
not even paralel.3 reps with struggle.also i wonder about his age..he looks older
