  • There should be a D&B mix of the robot song. It already has some deep bass thing going on in the background. you could emphasize that part & layer some double time hi-hat flourishes; and there you are.

  • Thanks for this, what a marvelous woman she was

  • This was a great interview! Thanks for posting this.

  • When she speaks slowly Delia's voice is so much like the Velvet Underground's Nico. Check out the first side of Nico's Eno produced album "The End" for some strongly Delia influenced electronic sounds and arrangements..

  • THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR POSTING THIS! I feel so inspired to create sound after that interview.

  • @clumpft Completely

  • I'm charmed to the eyeballs.

  • She was absolutley gorgeous and her voice was amazing.

Imagine having her as a girlfriend it must have been great.

Shame she died so young. If I had a time machine I would go back and marry her and make electronic bleeps with her all day-what a babe.

  • thank you so much for posting this. she really is a fascinating lady and a real innovator.

  • Thank's so much for posting this.I love Delia and her infectious giggle. She was a million miles ahead of the rest back in the 60's.And she looked fab too.Would've liked to have met her. But, we still have the music and now thank's to you, this radio broadcast.Again, thank's.xx

  • I can imagine the opening to the last tune being sampled for use in a hip-hop tune today. Great stuff..

  • Such an incredibly rare combination of genuis and charm, what an amazing woman Delia was.

Thanks for putting this together colt79.

  • Do any other electronic musicians on here find that they can't help but feel jealous?...in a nice, admiring way of course I mean.

  • Fantastic interview, thanks for posting.

  • Yes, Delia was a musical genius; she died far too young. Of course, she was a babe!

  • though I am sure Delia would have been fine knowing that her work would appeal to and be known only by a small percentage of the population, I am sure she had visions(either in her interpretations or imagination) of people like us carrying on her sounds for future generations to hear, and others who worked with her and whom she was fond of. In her memory, I am planning on drawing a portrait of her to keep for my future children; along with her works as well. A beautiful mind and lady.

  • gotta love how she blows most of the current electronic performers out of the water just so ahead of her time she working before synths love it

  • This is a classic example of how time passing makes me sad. I fear as time moves on, this kind of magic is being worn away. Like the Titanic at the bottom of the sea, being dissolved away by the elements.

I feel sorry for the generation behind us that know NO magic in their souls. Delia's Death Shook me.. And made me realise how the sixties are changing from the "Past", to "History".

Delia, you were loved. Now you are Admired. My Tardis wud fly straight back 2her Workshop! My Words: Marry me.

  • That giggle is infectious.

  • Ziwzih is an amazing track! Such a fascinating person, as well as her music. Thanks very much for this interview.

  • WOW!!

What a totally charming person she was......

Thanks for the share Dre! :-)

  • heh, my pleasure :-) glad you liked it.

  • She was amazing, she was a beautiful person aswell and what I find great about her is that she did not think she was a great composer.

Most people now are just copying what she did she was fab.

Wish I could of met her and she was lovely looking.

  • Way better than most. She was undoubtly ahead of her time.
