  • Where can you get a Big Orange Couch replica?

  • Damn, I'm still counting! SNICK, Y U NO BACK??!!

  • I always hated seeing this as a kid because I knew SNICK was over and I had to wait another week for it :(

  • i am planning a operation called Op TBN replay if interested

  • Forgive me, but Amanda Bynes was part of the beginning of the end of Nickelodeon, even though she's cute and almost funny.

  • Canadian actors are terrible

  • when times get hard from the complications of jobs, paying bills, and just life itself stuff like this makes me happy and appreciative of the life i have and the time i grew up in. i finally know what my parents were talking about and i can seriously say live life to the fullest, be appreciative and treasure what you have and out of all the useless websites and technology we have now.THANK GOD 4 YOUTUBE!

  • These makes me so man when you see how great and fun it was to watch this and Nick doesn't even care about it. It's like Snick, and all the great shows that made Nick what it is today they don't even acknowledge them. It's like they never existed. Thank you for posting this because this was nice to see again.

  • Man I miss these days everyday. When you had no worries no bills no stress nothing. All you worried about was watching SNICK. I wish i could go back just once to have that feeling of what Saturday felt like back in the day. Just to watch Space Cases, Alex Mack, Are You Afraid Of The Dark or Kea and Kel any of those shows.

  • I heard that this fall TeenNick is devoting a new block to 90's Nick shows like All That, The Amanda Show, Kenan And Kel, etc.

  • @Fragglevision: The 90's Are ALL THAT will debut this fall to TeenNick. I wonder...if they aired the block on Saturdays, would the channel then become TeenSNICK? XD

  • AYAOTD? reminds me of Goosebumps

  • this is how i learned that there are 168 hours in a week

  • i remeber feeling sad everytime it was over lol but i had pogs to keep me busy between. lol

  • "Snick is over..."

Well, time for Sega to take over.

  • Every Saturday night :)

  • I miss Snick, nothing will ever compare to the Snicking experience. Waiting all week for new episodes of your favorite shows. Shrugging off the responsibilities of school and homework and of course occasionally inviting a friend or two to keep you company while watching "Are You Afraid of the Dark?" and "All That"

And I tell you now, Snick officially died for me when they gave away the big orange couch. Sure Snick shuffled on, but it was never the same.

  • @xxGalacticGeminixx I wonder if the winner of the couch really cares for it and is taking good care of it? I would love to have it, or at least make a replica for my game room to watch all the SNICK that i've recorded! :-)

  • @Yesterdays92 Yeah, if I had the orange couch, I'd donate it to the Smithsonian...or at the very least take good care of it.

But yeah, that's just what our den is missing a big orange couch, a SNES and a library of classic Nickelodeon shows, lol.

  • @Yesterdays92 you recored snick? that's awesome. can u send me any links? pleeaasseee??

  • @xxGalacticGeminixx LOL a grown man whining because he can't watch his favorite kids shows anymore. How pathetic.

  • @xxGalacticGeminixx Seriously, I think I nearly got teary eye'd from this comment. I totally relate to this. I miss SNICK. There needs to just be a NICK rewind channel like 90SNICK or something!

  • @xrockchild I don't think anyone ever got teary eyed over my comments or anywhere close before, lol.

  • @xxGalacticGeminixx heh. Your top comment seriously got to me. I remember fri/sat nights was the best thing. SNICK and TGIF. Renting VHS tapes, videos games for sega, getting popcorn....and watching the tv. Used to think school and homework was so hard as a kid. I was in such a hurry to be an adult. 90s tv has seriously changed too.

  • @xxGalacticGeminixx ...tv changed alot from the 90s. Technology has changed. We didn't even have internet then!

  • @xxGalacticGeminixx You're right, even watching the 90s Are All That block on TeenNick is not quite the same. They have new footage of Kenan Thompson on the big orange couch so they must have built a replica. I was hoping they'd use the original SNICK sequences though like the one above. I was thinking, couldn't one download these YouTube clips and burn them onto a disc along with Nick shows? That would simulate the old SNICK experience, just without new episodes.

  • @elliottlover88 Probably the closest thing you can get to Snick in this day and age

  • so cute~! I was so like "ahh I want more SNICK!" and Stimpys voice at the end ties it up nicely lol. It was nice to have somewhere to turn for family values (this and TGIF) now all the kids are playing video games and watching stupid violent tv shows. I miss the days of goodt tv...even AYAOTD got you thinking..kinda twilight zone ish

  • This was in 1996.

  • I so wish they would bring this stuff back, on its own channel too.

  • God, I remember these days like it was just last week. Saturdays were awesome. Mom would take us to rent Sega games, get some junk food, and get home by the time Snick would come on. After Snick we would play video games until way past midnight.

  • @AnneMorr OMG... Our lives were TOTALLY Parallel ! :-) Definately remember playing Donkey Kong Country into the wee hours of the night, as well as SFII !

  • @AnneMorr dude that's exactly how my saturday was. Like on the point.

  • @AnneMorr This statement is dead on, i mean scary dead on to my weekends back then too except I went to get the games from Blockbuster on Friday nights cause if you didn't go right after school on Friday every good game was gone. That god damn disappointment when there wasn't a Blockbuster box behind the actual game you wanted hahahaha... well it wasn't all bad... there was TGIF and SNICK if you got shafted.

  • @Quilabong Yeah. Fridays kicked it all off. I made sure we didn't miss TGIF...then games afterward. Get up in the morning to watch Saturday morning cartoons, catch SNICK in the evening, then some more games for the rest of the night. Wow, I'm tearing up now....lol!

  • Everyone! Write to MTV Networks and Viacom to get Nickelodeon another channel that airs all of Nick's programs and bumpers from 1988-2004. Please, you have to keep on trying to get these shows back on the air!

  • Fare thee well, SNICK!

    Stay gold!

    ...bang!

  • Man, who here wants to buy that orange couch?

  • I remember it was never the same to watch Are You Afraid of the Dark on Sundays.....just not the same....God Imiss SNICK and SNICK or Treat for Halloween

  • stick stickley. OMG.. I was born in 1980, so I was around during Nicks heyday. My fav shows were Doug and Are You Scared of the Dark. It brings back so many memories watching the SNICK intros and outros. I try to watch Nick with my nieces, but the shows are terrible.

  • i gotta say, the 90s were the best time to watch shows. and i just let those years waste away (i was born in 89 so i grew up in the 90s). we need shows like those from the 90s again, kids now days are watching the dumbest things ever

  • "See you next time ON SNICK."

    I think not :(

  • Man if i could travel back in time i'd record everything from the 90s. lol You know you all would too. Just shove a blank vhs tape in and hit REC.

  • "Oh, rapture!"

    Ha-ha!

  • The Good ole Days!!!!!!!!!!! The 94-99 Was the great era when i was kid growing up Shows like Are you afraid of the dark All that Roundhouse Ren and Stimpy The Secret World of Alex Mack The Mystery Files of Shelby Woo The Journey of Allen Strange KaBlam! Kenan & Kel Animorphs Clarissa Explains it all
  • Seems like a lifetime ago.

  • As I wipe a tear from my eye knowing SNICK is not coming back.

  • I was just thinking about...the last time any of us saw SNICK, the real thing, on television, it would be much more than 166 hours till the "next time." It's going on years, and counting...

  • Ahh I use to love Saturdays in the 90's. Wake up to Disney's One Saturday Morning and end the day with SNICK. Good times =]

  • Remember Stick Stickely?

  • Comment removed

  • now these days they dont tell you when the shows over. than after its Nick at night. i miss snick and all those shows now they have teenick. but this barely any cartoons on nick now.

  • Fare the well SNICK!

    Stay Gold, Dude!

    ...Bang!

  • i had an idea! nickelodeon shud have a weekend block dedicating all the old shows from the 90's.like old nicktoons on friday afternoons and saturday mornings,SNICK shows on saturday nights at 6pm.and old game shows on sunday afternoons.anyone agree?cuz SNICK SHOULD REELY BRING SNICK BACK!!

  • @90zkid07 i don't know about the snick shows, but i think they play a lot of the old nickelodeon shows on nick at night now.

  • @90zkid07 I would die a happy person if I saw this lol

  • @90zkid07 I tell you I'd love it if they dedicated a block of Nick at Night every Saturday to Snick. Put up some of the old bumpers, play classic cartoons and tv shows....I mean at least give us Snick on Demand.

  • @90zkid07 TeenNick already did that. It's called The 90s Are All That.

  • GOD! I effing REMEMBER that AYAOTD promo. When they kid has the TV unplugged and its still on. It's making me sad. I miss this shit so much. It's crazy how nostolgic this shit is making me. There are kids these days who have never even HEARD the word SNICK. It's absurd. Thank you SO much for this.

****P.S.: DOES ANYONE REMEMBER WHEN THEY USED TO SELL THOSE BRIGHT ORANGE VHS'S THAT WERE WHOLE NIGHTS OF SNICK? I'M GONNA GO EBAY THAT SHIT RIGHT NOW! xo

  • Thank You! I Whole Heartly Agree! :-)

    I really miss SNICK!

I Do have the SNICK VHS tapes, I transferred them to DVD.

  • @Yesterdays92 If you're selling copies, I am definitely interested, Yesterdays92

  • Oh yes! I have one of those orange Snick tapes. I remember I found it in the used bin section for like 2 bucks at my old Blockbuster about 10 years ago. It was like finding the holy grail. Those tapes were awesome because they had all the Snick commercials and bumpers.

  • @sohipimhop it was awesome. truely awesome. is it weird that it even sometimes gets me a little teary eyed?

  • @boondocks9494 not at ALL. I actaully forgot about this video and the comment I left [i cant believe it was 2 years ago! haha] and watching this again is actually making me tear up. I don't know how old you are but I'm 24 now and starting to feel old and realizing how much things have truly changed since i was a kid. UGH! I'm starting to sound like my parents! But I anit got no shame. <3

  • @sohipimhop haha yea i know how you feel! that's why I upload old shows on my channel nowadays. I even put up the ORIGINAL SNICK Line-up from the first time SNICK aired. Awesome right? It's got the commercials and everything!

  • i love this show !!!! I want DVD'S!!!!

  • Fare the well SNICK!

    Stay Gold, Dude!

    ...Bang!

  • gahh I miss snick so much!

are you afraid of the dark scared the bejeezus out of me but I always tried to make myself watch anyway =P

I wish Nickelodeon would come back. it's absolutely horrible now...stupid spongebob and teen nick. T_T

    I miss the 90's!

  • the only good show 0on nicxk is probaly icarly. everything else is junk. My fav show back when i was 3-4 yrs (im only 13 but i grew up watching snick) Was probaly rugrats. and i loved all that too.

  • Whoa, thanks for putting this up! I looked everywhere for this.

I've had the image of a skyline and Stimpy saying "Oh the rapture!" in my head for ages now.

  • No Problem!! :-) The only reason I have this, is that I sat my VCR to record SNICK while I was out that night! A very treasured clip!!!!

  • My jaw is still on the floor as I type this comment. I can't believe I forgot what the closing looked like. And I love that AYAOTD commercial. I used to be afraid of it.

  • i wish i was back in the 90's

  • Yeah.. Man I miss Snick.. and 90's Nick.. things were great back then..

  • man i miss this. 90s were the best...

  • I watched SNICK every Saturday night, that was back when Nickelodeon was popular, but now it's stupid; they got rid of the good shows from cartoon shows to teen shows. Now all they show is dumb shows that should be canceled and bring back the old shows. I know, I feel everyone's pain; I also miss the 90s. In Loving Memory of SNICK (1993-2002)

  • SNICK died in 2002? i thought it ended before then...mmm I don't know, i guess cause i was no longer interested nickelodeon by then, i didn't notice.

  • It actually lasted until summer 03...

The "old snick" lasted from 1992-1999

then "snick house" took over from 1999-2001(which was like an early "teenick")

then the "new snick" began in early 2002, closing only a year later.

  • didnt snick end in 2004

  • ugh. my parents cleaned out the basement and threw out all our old vhs tapes. even priceless tapes like the classic halloween snick specials and stuff. i feel like a peice of me is lost now. especially since i want to watch them again. dvd's just arnt the same. im sure we all stuck around to watch the bumps and commercials cause they were awesome too! nothing quite likesaturday nights with a giant bowl of popcorn, pizza, soda, candy, friends and sleepovers with snick.

  • And... Don't forget, Playing Street Figher 2 & Donkey Kong Country on your Super Nintendo all night afterwards!! Ahh.. Great Memories!!

  • Oh yeah! damn man i think im gonna cry, Sniff Sniff... NOT! but i do miss those days.

  • Man, I think I'm going to cry...

  • forreal

  • @jbc429 that was like my liestyle back in the day! :P

  • unfortunatly, when NEW ALL THAT came with a NEW FUCKING CAST, well, there wasn't another week... RIP Snick

  • yeah there wasn't much point to watchin anymore. thats what did it for me

  • watched snick every sat. night

  • I grew up watching SNICK It had Ren and Stimpy on it until it was over

  • OH RAPTURE!

  • im about to cry

  • I know what you mean! :-(

    I miss it soooooo much!

  • Too bad now it's "Sorry we'll never see each other again." AAhhhh memories.

  • "Sorry we'll never see each other again."

Arrruuuugggghhhhh I know... SNICK was the best!! I miss it so much!!

  • Whoa! I have not seen this since I was a junior in high school. That was like in 97 snick was the coolest. I didn't like seening the ended of snick because I knew that my Saturday night was done especially if USA up All night didn't show a good movie. All I can say is Snick was the coolest.

  • I know, I know, I was in elementary school at the time, however Snick was always the greatest and seeing this end was always depressing, knowing that Sunday was coming and school was right around the corner. This is how I think we all ended our Saturdays around here right up until Jr. High when I believe they gave away the Big Orange Couch in some contest and slowly but surely Nickeloden devolved into some of the trash we see today.

  • It's so cool to know that I'm not the only one who misses SNICK. I couldn't wait for all these shows every Saturday Night!! I sure am glad I taped abunch of AYAOTD's , Kenan & Kel, Ka-Blam. I recently saved them to DVD, so I can continue to enjoy SNICK!

  • Well I still have my sources for all the old shows, but unfortunately I have none of the old bumpers for the old Snick or anything on VHS, at least I don't think.
