I had a 07' r1 that got stolen. This is the only bike that makes me want an other bike if that makes sense... How much does that one cost??? U said a limited number were made.??? Looks sic almost like a 1098
Such a gorgeous bike, I only wish the seat height was smaller. Being 5'7" has its limitations when it comes to bikes. Stuck with a Gixxer or CBR, even the R6 and ZX6R seat heights are too high.
@umicheng and you can comfortably move that thing around with your legs? I want to be able to at the bare minimum go on the balls of both my feet when at a stop. Flamingo standing a bike to me just doesn't seem all that safe. Currently planning on buying a 2010 Gixxer next summer, 2011 if I can afford it, because it has the lowest seat height, doesn't look that bad and to me is comfortable. Haven't sat on a Daytona yet, guess I should go find one :D
@AruKun You can do it!!! My 675 is stock height. Check out my channel at @michshift. What is your inseam? Mine is around 28.5". Try a lower 600, like a Gixxer. Takes just some good balance and barely any efford to keep it upright when stopped.
@kani9000 I cannot. I am on tippy toes. I did swap out the springs front and rear to fit my weight which helped a bit on reach. I just need to pay closer attention to roads, slowing to a stop, clutch/throttle balance due to my height.
@TheTallMan35 They probably would have, but lowering a supersport is like putting mud tires on a ferrari, your basically neutering the handling capabilities of the bike. I went with a 2010 GSX-R600. It's my first bike, not my last, and the Daytona 675 is still on the list of future prospects.
@TheTallMan35 Lowering links can help for a bit to help gain confidence on how the bike reacts/the power...but I'd recommend removing and returning to stock height if possible, and definitely if you take it to the track. @DaShnipa is right on about lowering.
@wsbygt this is actually the 2010. the 2011 has the decals, CF bits. The UP^ the year for the Special Editions- so they unfairly so they cant give you any of the perks (financing, goodies, etc) haha sucks but hopefully my bike will be worth more later :P
@umicheng In the UK that would be a 2009 model. I see a lot of vids for 2009 model SE's quoting 2010, and 2010 model SE's quoting 2011 and they all seem to be from countries other than the UK. Maybe this is due to the delay getting them shipped over. The UK 2010 model had revised gauges, decals and a load of CF bits. Either way great bike.
@vbammens this is actually the 2010. you have the 2011 haha they are "Special Editions" - so they unfairly up the year so they cant give you any of the perks (financing, goodies, etc)
im planning to get this bike when i enter college and will be using it as daily commuter. how has this bike been treating u? u use this bike for daily or just track?
I am 5'4 :) The Daytona has one of the highest seat heights in the 600cc class. I didn't lower it. It's all personal choice on what works best for you. But remember, if you do choose to lower it - it will affect the handling of the bike
@umicheng hey what's up, i got a quick question. How comfortable is this bike for you ? I'm 6'3' 230 lbs athetically built and i'm picking between VFR800, CBR600 and this bike.. I know VFR will be the most comfortable for sure, but in the SS class how would CBR600RR comapre to triumph ?
@RusWolff Hey, the daytona is amazing, and I wanted the CBR my entire life before it. if you are comparing just comfort, the CBR wins by far. what are your intentions for the bike? 100% street? the CBR has a WAY more comfy seat and ergonomics (more upright position). The daytona has one of the most aggressive riding positions so it doesnt work as well with street.
@RusWolff there's also only 350 of these bikes issued to the state's if your wanting to get that actual model... i would go with the triumph just because not many people have one or even know of one. and a cbr is way popular every dog and his bone have one you know? plus if your getting a rocket. the last thing you should be looking for is comfort...
fucking sweet bike, gotta stick to my street bikes though as pillion will not like lol

This is the 2009 SE version. Very nice ride anyway! But the 2010 bike has different colour scheme and minor tweaks.
Congrats and have a good one!
