Sceond of all, the only turkic race in the caucasus is azeri and they came with the ottomans in the 1600s and upwards. My people(adige)and true kavkazians have been in the caucasus for over 6000 years. that is a fact not a myth, it is also known that turkic tribes were still in mongolia at this time. please read a history book other than the one your facist turkish grandma gave you. if you want to get really technical, Azeris are originally Persian-speakers. The language is Oghuz turkic, but it has a lot of Persian words. The Shirvanshahs were actually around before the Ottomans and the Ak Koyunglu, and were instrumental in the Kyzylbash movement that founded The Ismail Safavid dynasty in Iran. You are correct, the Kavkaz peoples have been their longer than Turkish peoples, though the influence is strong, just like the Russian influence.
