do you have an intake, headers or anything else done to your truck? i have a 2000 pre runner with the 2.7 also with a k&n intake and i just ordered a magnaflow system and i was wondering if it would sound the same cuz this is the best sounding exhaust ive heard so far on the 4bangers
My tires stick out farther, no flares, and no mud flaps. I haven't gotten in trouble yet. Although it is Colorado, and theres alot of lifted trucks out here.

Sounds nice to me. not "ricey" imo. i have an 07 2.7L with a flowmaster 40 which sounds good. my friend has a magnaflow 18" also on a 2.7L and that sounds good too. If you have a 2.7L go with either flowmaster or magnaflow.
Does anyone really know where most of that deep sound really comes from? Is it mostly the muffler or is it the whole exhaust system? I only ask because my muffler needs to be replaced but everything else is fine and if i can get a deeper sound i would buy a flowmaster or magnaflow muffler. This is all in reference to a 1993 Toyota Pick Up. Any help i would really appreciate.

yes magnaflow is a great system know in the offroad world. It really does increase your HP and a little bit of gas with a air intake as well

Was the engine and exhaust previously heated up to normal operating temps, or is everything still cold here? It makes a huge difference.

Yea, flowmaster is the way to go. I've got a 95 4runner 3.0 and it sounds like a v8 is in there.

Go with FlowMaster with 2" pipes. My 4 cylinder 2003 Tacoma TRD sounds much throatier than that.
