  • Why does the glideslope indicator say that they're too high?

  • Everyone, @ 0:56 is not a tornado, it is like a microburst, theyhappen a lot in Australia :)

  • Singapore Airlines or Emirates???

  • At 0:56 it looks very much like a tornado

  • 0:53

  • flying is good but being in a pressurized cabin is not so good. IT just isn't a nice feeling physically.

  • how can there be people that dislike such an awesome video like this???

  • i love the Boeing 777. such a sexy plane!!!!!

  • @nw7378 ALTHOUGH THE PEOPLE SAY THAT THE BOEING 787 IS GOING TO BE A MUCH " SEXIER " ONE AND YOU HAVE TO CHECK ITS WING-FLEX.

    CHEERS MATE

  • This video is awesome, I guess in my heart I always wanted to be a pilot, but alas I am very nearsighted, However my brother-in-law flies to Europe all the time for a major airline, so I think in a way I live through him. Keep up the great videos, Michele.

  • When in the cockpit keep the camera on the runway. You ruin the shot when you start panning around.

  • 0:11 THEY GOT NO E-CHARTS, SCREWED !!

hahaha... today the modern 777 has E-Charts which is electronic database of all checklists, taxiways (live diagrams, like a live gps), runways, airport charts, etc. no need for paper !

  • That was a very smooth landing.

  • All those planes waiting for you lol

  • All jets hold short of 1-6 Right

  • Awesome, keep it up

  • A little bit useless squander of camera (left-right) after landing.

  • yes it was a tornado however no worries as it was out in the sea the airport is virtually next to the coast

  • Lol i would not land with a tornado there Id would go around and stay in the air for at least one hour then land!

  • Aunty Em it's a twister oh no back to OZ I go

  • I bet its a real thrill landing infront of waiting traffic, knowing all those other people and pilots will see your landing, haha good video

  • that looked like a tornado

  • got quite the audience of planes watching and waiting for the landing... sydney looks pretty busy.

  • i can see they hadn't intercepted the localizer before final approach began.

  • Tornados don't even happen in most of Australia, let alone Sydney, lol.

  • looks like a tornado at 0:56!!! or just smoke?

  • how did u get to sit in the cockpit???????

  • @reedyspeedy12 maybe the guy asked the pilot or the guy who handles the radios to film it for the owner of the camera

  • Tornando 0:55

  • Awesome video!

  • its not a tornado..its just smoke.. =)

  • Nice landing, except for the nice little Tornado at 0:57

  • what airline?

  • It was pretty busy that day. The 777 is a pretty big plane huh? I think it is now my favorite airliner. They havent been in operation that long have they?

  • Air Canada 763 at :30 ?

  • tornado in SYDNEY HAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAA BLOODY YANKS NO IDEA ....BACK TO SCHOOL BOYS .

  • @brettami Yanks? The first comment listed's account that said that says Canada. I don't think they were part of the civil war....

  • @brettami while most tornadoes touch down in the US, they happen in ALL parts of the world

  • I think you are getting angry over this now. Thats not nice.

  • simulator?

  • @platez81 Not at all.

  • @platez81 HOW THE HELL CAN IT BE A SIMULATOR !!! ... obviusly no ...

  • @platez81 Don't be stupid please....

  • at 0.55 theres a twister in the background, oops id fly the fk out of there

  • That's it. I'm never turning off another personal electronic device on an airplane again, if the boys in the cockpit can't follow the rule either.

  • @josephjester what are you talking abt? Their navigation equipment?

  • @TheNikkonish They didn't make this video using the navigation equipment! lol

  • @josephjester yeah i realize that. But, a video camera is not a big deal to the aircraft. Only transmitting devices like cell phones can interfere with navigation.

  • @TheNikkonish @josephjester

even cell phones doesn't affect anything with the aircraft

they tell you to turn off your phones and devices so YOU WILL PAY ATTENTION TO THE FLIGHT ATTENDANTS. The "electromagnetic interference" crap is just an excuse. no airline will ever say "please turn off or electronic devices otherwise you have a more of a potential to die if you don't listen to us if God forbid we crash landed" what sounds more pleasing? :D

  • @r1oot actually it can, but its mild, yet thats still a problem

  • WTF?

    Tornado?

  • yes this is tornado

  • on some planes the voice says retard after like 20ft what does that mean?

  • @jman8489 to pull the throttles back to idle.

  • great landing..

  • that looked like a downdraft great vid though

  • haha! tornado 0:55! wow ! they probably regreted that they landed ...

  • what is the +100 after 500??

  • probably 100 feet above minimums

  • what does the computer says at 0 25 minim arms ?????haha

  • @AaronSk8Man, The reason the 777, or any aircraft calls out minimums is to let the pilots know in low visibility that if they have missed approach, then that specific height is the minimum go-around, and after you descend below it you are committed to land.

  • @tank11157 aaa man thank you very much

  • @AaronSk8Man no problem

  • GOD BLESS BOEING!!!!

  • God Bless Airbus ! ;D

  • @lovewow59 this is boeing

  • OMG!!! A TORNADO AT 0:55!!!!

  • nice landing

  • LMAO!! the noticed a tornardo near the airport, he probably shit himself and wanted to ditch the airport ROFL!

  • i like those headsets that united use which are special ergonomically desinged shaped for the ear canal. THey are shaped like a hearing aid. they eliminate the pressure that headband headsets cause on the ear. if you look on the united 777 dvd you see the guy on there is wearing one and it looks much more comfortable than an ordinary headset.

  • Air Canada 777-200... 0:32 awesome

  • That's a B767-300ER you can tell by the smaller engines, this video was recorded before AC sent there B777's to YSSY

  • smooth landing

  • Sure does look like one :)

  • is that a tornado at 0:55 ? lol

  • yep yep yep :D

  • @slymakk ... smoke from a factory. There are no full blown tornadoes in and around Sydney, Australia for that matter.

  • @slymakk I'm not sure if that's a tornado, maybe it was only a smoke.. *may be..

  • @slymakk That's exactly what I was going to say lol

  • @slymakk could be pollution.

  • @slymakk yep sure its was out at sea as sydney airport is near coast

  • @slymakk Smoke stack i beleve .. the way u can tell is that there no cross wind.. but real good eye mate. i didn't notice till i read ur post.

  • There's not alot to really do onboard airplanes. Thats what makes them so boring at cuise. IF they had more to do on them it would be better. THey need to make airplanes like cruise ships. I thought the a380 was gonna be like a cruise ships with loads of entertainment onboard and ice rings and stuff like that. CAn we not make nuclear powered airplanes

  • scary j o b

  • BUSYYYYYYYYYYYYYYyyyyyyyy

  • Nice

  • If you pause at :53, you'll notice there's a string dangling from the roof of the cockpit.. I noticed that on an earlier video of a KLM 777-300ER. What is it?

  • thats just the cord that plugs into the communications headset

  • Thats not a string, its the wires to the pilot headsets. They are plugged into the ceiling console, as they are stored in the ceiling as well. I'm sure its to avoid constraining the pilot if he gets up or moves in his seat, and avoids accidentally getting wrapped around the stick.

  • :56 IS THAT A TORNADO???

  • @beauclay dude it looks like one....but theyre too close for it to be one

  • 0:56 O_o that is a tornado.

  • ah yes a safe day for flying

  • Great landing, I love the 777 and MD-11, but is that really a tornado, or is it just smoke from smokestacks?

  • good and lame

  • Hah, thats pretty cool, and weird, that when they were landing, there were like planes on the side, (duh) and its like all of them are waiting to cross or takeoff, and like they were watching them land lol. i think its pretty cool

  • well yeah i must agree it looks like a tornader! of course it could b a structure fire! not much better

  • yeah there is a tornado at the left side.. and its awsome to see others aircraft just waiting for this plane landing.

  • stop at 0.55

    looks like a tornado!!

    holy fuck

  • OMG I NOTICED THAT ASWELL!!

  • there is a violent tornado on the left side of the plane ( can be seen after plane lands)

  • Is there a tornado in Australia?

    Your eyes are so fine...

  • dats 20/20 vision dude m still 14 but soon i wiil be der in one of the cockpits of a b777 of one Air India, Jet airways or Emirates

  • at what stage do the pilots usually do hand flown approaches - i know syd is an only visual airport so isnt it difficult landing in the dark by hand

  • And a twister on the left hand side of the plane!!

  • wow, good eye. wonder what that is...

  • Nice landing, smooth as!

  • too dangerous...

  • very busy airport

  • landing sydney airport australia

  • Comment removed

  • How can it be an Air New Zealand aircraft if it's a 777-300ER???

  • SMOOTH!

  • That's rwy 16R YSSY, plus there is red rat there too...

  • is this paris?

  • No... Look at the Qantas aircrafts on the right!

  • it says SYD airport in the description

  • no it's Sydney

ppl some ppl just don't read the discription

  • WOW don't they have the panel lights on it was soo dark!

  • I'm sure they do, camera's can't really differentiate the contrast of light and dark very well...

  • was that a tornado at 00:55 , 00:56 ?

  • wow.. i thnk so! sharp eyes

  • I think it's smoke....not a tornado.

Plus I've never heard of tornadoes in Sydney.

    lol

  • @JKLING343 it's a factory....

  • Maybe it's a waterspout ?

  • Sydney airport was really busy

  • wow, a tornado, you think that would cause some worry wouldn't you?

  • airline?

  • 777s r the best

  • tornado 0:56

  • yeah looks like a tornado at 0:56

  • Dude, saw that shit too

  • No such thing as a tornado in Sydney dude.

  • wow great eye!

  • Niiiice landing..looked so easy!

  • What airline? My guess Singapore?

  • thanks for sharing !! 5*

  • Definitely an Aussie voice as the PF.

I notice your call at 500 is "Checked" - do you have a "Stabilised" call?

  • 0:55

  • a tornado at 0:55. stop the vdo at 0:55 and u`ll see a twister

  • omg yeah!

  • loooool :D

  • Wow alot of traffic

  • 0:34 Nice Air Canada plane...

  • You know, the speed of which an airplane lands in dependent of how heavy it is? Of course, the fuel and passengers are what makes this variable change, because fuel, obviously, adds weight. The more fuel onboard in the landing, the heavier the aircraft will be, so it will landing at a higher speed. For example if the aircraft is a full flight, and there are 60000 kilograms of fuel on board, the aircraft might landing at around 150, whereas 30000 kg of fuel might be 135 knots, both a 30 flaps

  • What does "Approaching minimums" mean???

  • It means you are approaching the decision height in which you would go around if you didn't have a visual on the RWY or some other occurrence.

  • What does ER mean? Extended Range?

  • yap

  • 0:55 is there a tornado?

  • there arnt tornadoes in sydney. A cyclone maybe.

  • Tornado, 'twsiter' or waterspout, A cyclone is the southern hemisphere equivelant of a hurricane which is a weather system rather than a small localised event such as a twister.

  • could be a water sprout.

  • Looked like it

  • the people that get in the cockpit are mostly staff (stewardes, people from the company on duty) or other pilots flying to a destination on board not in the cockpit ond if the flight is totaly booked out pilots are alowed to use the jumd seat.

  • how the hell is everybody allowed to go in the cockpit, it drives me mad!!!! how come you got in the cockpit, do you no someone from the airline??

  • very good video

  • very good landing ! nice quality ! add in my fav!

  • amazing.. what airport did you land at?

  • Wow nice video. What model camera are you using? The image quality is excellent!

  • is that a tornado or something in the background at about 0:56?

  • it does look like one..

  • i saw it too ... it looks like oO

  • yea it does

  • good landing

  • Very good landing!

  • Very smooth. The RA called "50" as the threshold was crossed, perfect :-)

  • i dunno how you could say thats high... given he touched down in the TD zone with about 3 k of runway left to spare, obviously spent too much time in a 172 rather than a real plane with 2 two engines

  • lol, well yes I have spent a lot of time in a 172, but you the PAPI is showing slightly high, he also touched down slightly past the second touch down marker.

  • you will notice when you land at airports with a papi, that they will change colour just before TD, also the 777 is about 8 meters between the wheels and the pilots eye, so if the camera had been where the wheels are you might have said "slightly low, nice TD" and his mains would have been behind the second marker aswell

  • Yeh, fair enough, tis a bit different to my little C172s!

  • no, youre high.

  • Dos he say " sawadee khap " good day in thai.?

  • i think he says 'speed brake up'

  • does that have to new ge s or trent engines
