Somehow, I always found the romance subplot between Revan and Carth far more interesting than the one between Bastila and Carth.

Of course, Carth was always my favourite character in KotoR, so that probably had something to do with it...

Same, even in real life I like Carth more than Bastilla. Like if they were real people. Also doesn't help how Bastilla is just kinda...eh. I mean she basically for the entire game is like "No, Jedi do this, Jedi do that, Jedi do this" then when she converts and you revert her, all of a sudden she decides "Yes I love you" it's just a bit too wishy washy for me to like. It's not bad writing just my opinion for her character.

I played the first one when it first came out and fell in love, but the second one was with all honesty more of a downward slope in my opinion. The story could've been better while there were a few better facts. Like in the first one you can't construct grenades, medpacks, etc. and little things like that make a difference.

But yes. I would strongly recommend that you get the first one.

Well I do mean redeem. They have a great franchise, which they sequel and it's not the best since it's rushed at the end. So hey, why don't they take their time and release a third one that we all want? No they make an MMO. I'm sorry but why? When I think of KotOR I don't think "Gee I wanna walk around and kill random stuff in a huge enviroment" no I think of the great story. That's what I enjoy about the series, I'm sure other people do, so an MMO isn't for me.

MMO's are good in appearance but are strongly overrated. They digress too much from the plot which of the original games. It's like Warcraft. I LOVED the plots of Warcraft III and Frozen Throne, but WoW marred it. The same may be true for KOTOR and The Old Republic.
