very nice job! i live in florida but spent a couple of years in schenectady. and i always wondered what it looked like, being so young i couldn't remember. your video made me want to pack up and go. thanks so much.
Can't thank you enough! I have been living in Georgia for the past 20 yrs. I miss home dearly. Your movies give Schenectady the Norman Rockwell feeling I remember whenever I think about my childhood.
Just bouncing around re-looking some of your videos over again and I saw this and thought UGH! Its almost here again LOL All that snow!!! Frozen river and ice jams again. Oh well, atleast you do a great job reporting it all to us :-) Thanks for the videos!
Thank you so much for sending me this video!! Oh, how I miss snow in winter... and miss winter in December, even more (the seasons are reversed here in Australia, so it's on the border of winter/spring now)... this was wonderful!
I love Schenectady, i lived on Bedford for 8 years. alot has changed even in those 8 years. nice videos though, shows the parts that people like around here.
I truly love your videos. I do...I do...I do! I have looked at several of your videos-more than once. such a broad range of emotions throughout them. Parts of them reflect fun times as well as peaceful and serene. Children at play remind us of our own childhood. You add historical and points of interest too. I could go on with why your videos are great-but they speak for themselves Also, I know I commented on this on another video..but...if that is your picture at the end...YUMMY!
Astounding job, i live here now and im only 16, so i know what people mean when they say schenectady has changed, kinda makes me wish i lived through the 70's schenectady
Sch'tdy is still peaceful at night. It's changed a lot but not its personality :-) It still feels like home! I can almost smell the crisp clean air & feel that wind nipping at my cheeks. Crunching snow beneath my feet walking home. Everybody was your friend, we all said hello even if we didnt know one another. Always stopping at Dunkin Doughnuts for coffee or Hot Chocolate. Always a group of kids at the corner dragging off the back bumpers of cars down Albany street. One of a million memories.
I remember going downtown as a child with my mother. The Carl Company, Wallaces Dept. Store, Woolworth with the lunch counter, APEX Record where you could go in and listen to records in little booths. All the windows were decorated and with the Plaza, Proctors and State theaters, Schenectady was alive and vibrant.
Thxs so much for the wonderful job you do. I live in SC now and sometimes miss home, you make me feel like I'm still there when i view your videos, please continue to send new ones, it brings back many memories.
