Loved this album since I purchased it on 8 -track the day it came out. In fact It's been in my truck's CD player for several weeks now. How have I NEVER heard this in it's entirety before NOW???!!!? Never had any idea that there was a guitar solo in the middle.

I have had this 8-track since I was about 13 or 14 years old (1981ish)... I transferred it to digital a few years ago. I also have the Floyd live in Ft Worth during the Animals tour. They split the song that night... This has always been one of my favorite David Gilmour solos.

@Cynoceph this song in it's entirety with snowy was only on 8-track. there is a best of compilation that has the original 8 track quality version out there but i'm not sure what the title is. There is also a very rare edition of Snowy White Gold , that has a version in it's entirety. it's out of print so good luck finding it. peace

This is a kick ass song. If you like this you might like The Final Cut CD and Pro's And Con Of Hitch Hiking. Some of the songs have the same feel in my opinion.
