@hockeyfan3394 That was his car he was scraping the snow off of, "my neighbour cleaning the snow off his car" Means that's his neighbor cleaning his car with the dust pan. Also with older cars the paint might already be scratched from living in an area that needs to liberally use rock salt. Trust me, salt and slush will do more damage to the exterior then any dustpan.

@y8es I understood that it was his own car (although I probably didn't word it well), but what I meant was that I would never do such a thing myself, nor would I let anyone else do anything similar. It seems that using the dustpan could potentially cause numerous scratches on the paint, and that's something that I simply wouldn't do.
