  • Subtitles would be great. :P

  • Nargzy: Can you send me the audio file for this? I want to make this my ringtone.

  • I'm not a Nazi, and I'm German and a proud patriot. The only Nazis in Germany are the ones being hunted for their crimes. If the Americans hate us so much, I ask you this: we Germans have laws against Nazis and their practices, and we hate them! But you also claim to hate them, yet have no laws against them. And you may have heard about the anti-Semitism uprising in Germany, but it's everywhere! Some people from all countries hate Jews! Get your heads straight!

  • "A word of command has made these silent figures our enemies; a word of command might transform them into our friends" -All Quiet on the Western Front

  • This video absolutely needs english subtiles.

  • Everytime I hear the German language, the first thing that comes to my mind is Nazism, and/or Hitler's speech....I don't know why that is, but it just does

  • @jusitke07 I'm learning German and I make it a point to listen to recordings to improve my listening skills. Are they improving? Yes! Unfortunately, I can now understand the rantings of Hitler. YUCK! I don't want to do this! I want to think he's spewing gibberish! Ach, what can I do?

  • @jusitke07 That is an ignorant thing to say, no offence. I take German in school, and I happen to think it is a wonderful language. I love to think of Germany in the way of Prussia's glorious empire.

  • Die Kriegsgründe waren: Eitelkeit, Arroganz und verletzter Stolz!

  • @stwica Same here, I read on Wilhelm, and he was a very modest man, he was arrogant, yes, but he did care for the German people, and like Charles of Austria, he was persuaded to go to war by his generals as well. The only reason Germany is noted to take blame rather than other countries, was because of their issuance of a "blank-cheque" for Austria-Hungary.

  • Comment removed

  • KAISER WILHELM WAS THE MAN

  • Anyone got any idea what he says from 1:58 to 2:04?

  • A real leader of men, with 10 times more charisma and courage then Hitler ever had.

If the US wopuld not have entered the war in 1917 the history of the seven yaer war would have repaeted itself and Wlhelm II would have been regarded today in the same manner as his ancestor Frederick II of Prussia, who was very much like him.

  • @helmuthoorn Of interest here is Adm. Horthy's writing against the Lusitania destruction. He claimed the US would not have entered the war & the Axis would have won, not at all implausible. Unclear is how such a victory would have been terrible.

  • @P1B1U1H1

    This war was terrible enough.

But T'm convinced that a German victoryin WW1 (and they were very close tot that in the spring of 1918!) would have avoided the coming to power of the nazi's and WW2..

  • @helmuthoorn The campaign slogan "he kept us out of war" handed the 1916 election to Woodrow Wilson. Teddy Roosevelt properly advised Wilson's secretary of state that Japan, not Germany, was the country to fear. Why was the Zimmermann Telegram sent? Germany knew Mexico could never beat the US with or without German aid.

  • @helmuthoorn Not to mention preventing the creation of Israel.

  • Maybe it's time to recreate German monarchy?

  • Kaiser Wilhelm was a stone cold badass. If he'd won the war there'd have been no World War two and we'd all be driving better cars.

    Damn you massed european forces!

  • @StormingGrenadier777

    #3

We will defend ourselves until the last breath of man and horse. And we will insist this fight against a world of enemies. Germany was never overcome, if it was united.

Forward with God, who will be with us, as he was with our fathers.

    -----------------

Had to post it in three parts so it would fit.

  • @StormingGrenadier777

#2 treacherous attack, you will not tolerate, that we stand in resolute loyalty to our allies, fighting for his reputation as a great power and with the humiliation our power and glory is lost.

We must call the sword decide. The midst of peace falls on us the enemy. So on! to arms! Any vacillation, hesitation would be treason to the fatherland.

To be or not our empire is that our fathers founded the new.

To Be or Not to German power and German character.

  • @StormingGrenadier777

    To the German People

Since the Empire was founded 43 years it has been by my ancestors and my hot efforts to preserve world peace and promote peace in our powerful development. But the opponents of us envy the success of our work.

All overt and covert hostility between East and West, beyond the lake we have to bear in mind our responsibility and power. But now you want to humiliate us. It demands that we watch with folded arms, as our enemies are preparing to

  • <3 you Wilhelm II! You were the true leader of Germany.

  • Wilhelm II FUCKING BARBAROID REST IN PISS

  • @unfukkkmee YOU REST IN PISS!

  • @RoosterCogburn1008 SHUT UP BARBAROID

  • @unfukkkmee First, I CAN TYPE WITH CAPS LOCK TOO, SEE HOW COOL IT MAKES ME!? Second, what the fuck are you talking about?

  • @RoosterCogburn1008 .I. BARBAROID

  • @RoosterCogburn1008 THE DRUGS IS GERMANIC CREATION OF BARBARIC DUTCHIES.

    I HATE DRUGS. SHUT UP

  • @unfukkkmee SPEAK ENGLISH, DAMN IT! I DON'T KNOW WHAT YOU'RE SAYING!

  • Why does everyone have to make potshots about his voice? Patton had a shrill, high pitched voice and nobody makes fun of him.

  • @Tharagus Because Patton was a good commander. Oh, and his side won the war.

  • what a nice voice he had :)

Na los, also auf denn!

  • Nations of people are like oceans of water, with very little free will, only the waves in them striking the borders of neighboring nations. A Kaiser or a Tsar had very little freedom of action, having to surf those waves or else find himself drowning beneath them. Europe and Russia were a Rube Goldberg machine militarily, or room full of standing dominoes, all pieces in place, impossible to stop once set in motion. The Kaiser surfed and survived. The Tsar tried peace and was killed for it.

  • @zumgruenenbaum

  • Sir(s): Thank you. --J.D.

  • fuck you du nazi!!!

  • @AntiD0itsch

    xD he wasn´t a Nazi!

    Nazi = Nationalsozialist (1933-1945)

  • @AntiD0itsch

  • @asilaydian DIE DEUTSCHEN WOLLTEN DEN TOTALEN KRIEG!

SIE FOLGTEN DEM FÜHRER OHNE WIEDERSTAND! DAS MACHT SIE ALLE ZU BESCHISENEN NAZIS!

  • @AntiD0itsch

sag mal wo du her kommst....

  • BURN IN HELL LEADER OF KILLERS

  • @unfukkkmee Why do you hate him so much? I know what you need. You need a history lesson.

  • WW1 is a very misunderstood war. Mr. Wilhelm was a world away from the craziness of Hitler. Germany had a functioning democracy at the time. The treaty of versailles was a huge mistake, it effectively destroyed the rather spectacular country of Germany. But equally, I cannot blame George Clemenceu for his actions during the negotiations.

  • @fhreimers yeah, Serbia started a lot of shit, getting the archduke killed.

  • @ImperatorZor yeah!

  • I thought the Kaiser was great. Why don't many people like him?

  • And then shot himself in the head. The end :)

    America FUCK YEAH!

  • @GhostXoP No, that was Hitler, you ignorant dumbass. How low is your IQ? I don't know what the fuck the second part of your comment meant, since without Stalin and soviet troops during WW2 your country would have been invaded and destroyed by Hitler.

  • @ToaJoe Lol aw did i piss you off? Real tough guy trying to cuss me out on youtube

  • @GhostXoP No, I'm not angry. In fact, I'm laughing, because your original comment says a lot about how low your IQ is. You clearly don't know anything about history, so PLEASE continue making ignorant comments. It's like a comedy club.

  • @ToaJoe lol your lieing, because if you werent mad, you wouldnt care to respond. You try to make me feel bad but it isnt working, so dumb ass you will have to try harder.

Continue being pissy, i dont care what you think. To me this is all funny :)

    And for sure! ill continue

  • @GhostXoP Oh, please do. Please make more brilliantly stupid comments for me and everyone else to laugh at. Use this as a starting line: "thank god america saved the world during ww1!" or "thank god wilhlem wasnt allowed to kill more jews!"

  • @ToaJoe lol somebodys pissed, im doing a great job :) Were all laughing at you because your making a fool of yourself trying to get back at me Lol

  • @GhostXoP Everyone's laughing at me... why? Everything I said here is 100% factual. You, on the other hand, confused Hitler with Wilhelm II. WTF? That takes a huge amount of stupidity, sonny.

  • @ToaJoe lol! sonny huh? and no need to ask why, i had just shown them the convo, told them the reason why im antagonizing you, and they laughed.

  • @GhostXoP I would like to know why people are laughing at me? Please, I'm interested. Because everything I've said is 100% true. You on the other hand demonstrated that you are a complete and utter D grade dumbass who knows nothing about history. It's a bit mean, but I love laughing at retards like you. Dumbasses can't understand why people are laughing at them, so they presume that the laughter is not aimed at them, and subsequently join in.

  • @ToaJoe Lol your so pissy because were still laughing at you. yes, this makes me a d student?i happen to have a 91 in the course at the moment. along with the other a's and b's im pulling off. so you are challenging my intelect? lol i can PROVE that i know a whole hell of alot more then you, and what, you know what happened yesterday? who gives a shit lol. i dont care anyway, were just here to piss you off,and like the "smart" student you are,its working.be mature, calm the fuck down and ignore me

  • @GhostXoP Meh, I'm not bothered anymore because I prefer talking to people who have an higher than average IQ and possess the ability to spell.

Am I challenging your intellect? YES. Please, enlighten me. Why is it that you mistook Wilhlem II for Adolf Hitler, yet you are a genius at history? I want to know :-)

  • How sad. Traurig. Triste. That Europe had to go through all this.. The consequences of this stupid war are still visible today.

  • @NickVenture1 true

  • @Windsor1able Yes, very true. The first world war was all nonsense and a cultural disaster, too. The citizens of Europe were unaware how much a fight among them will weaken their position on the entire globe.

  • Lazy pompous sack of dicks.

  • today its his 152 birthday :) congratulation my beloved kaiser :) :)

  • @stwica Finally it's worth pointing out that there is nothing inherently German about nazi crimes, in fact many other countries have done similar things (Russia, China, Bosnian Serbs etc...) and no country is immune from it. In fact those living in the US should be wary of the erosion of civil liberties and the debasement of american democracy in recent years.

To illustrate the nazi potential in all of us, research Zimbardo's Stanford prison and Milgram's obedience to authority experiments.

  • @stwica But evidently the Germans = Nazis equation has taken root. It's worth noting that despite being grossly inaccurate, it might have done some good and allowed Germany to rehabilitate itself through collective responsability.

One other common confusion is between the Wehrmacht, Germany's regular army and the SS, the nazi secret police which had a military wing, the Waffen SS. The Wehrmacht was never involved in war crimes or management of the camps. Those were Waffen SS and SS-TV jobs.

  • @stwica No problem. I think the issue is confusion between a nation and an ideology. Germany is a nation, the nazis were members of a political party and in fact there were non german nazis around the world although they are usually refered to as fascists, the name of the broad ideology. I believe fascism is inherently evil while the Germans are who they are, the people of that country. The equation Germans = Nazis was never true even during WW2 as only 3%-12% were nazis during the 33-45 period.

  • Justin bieber will never now what Germany was...........

  • Thank you, blackeneer. Actually, I think it was the enemies of Austria who started the war over Bosnia. They had no idea what they were doing. Germany was just a victim of the alliance system. (But Germany should have kept out of Belgium and avoided antagonizing the Americans. The war would have ended differently.)

  • I would like to have a translation of this. The Kaiser may not have been up to his job, but he simply did not start the war. That was Russia's doing.

  • @scottadler To the German People, since the creation of the Reich it have been now 43 years (part i dont understand is following) ... to stay in piece, and promote our strong development. But our enemies envy our success. Every open, and covered hostility we have endured, because we know of our responsibility and strength. But now, they try to humble us. They want us, to watch with folded arms, while our enemys prepare for malicious attack.

  • @scottadler Russia did not start the war, but was simply an ally of an country that did. Same as Britain and France. I agree with you about the Kaiser. The only thing he did was to agree to an Duel Alliance, yet he got stuck with all war reparations and trouble along with it. My relative fought in the kaiser's army, and I'm proud of it.

  • @stwica Don't know what to say since you way off the mark! I love Germany. Apart from my home country (France) and the country where I live (UK), it's the country I know the most about. I've been there 15 times, I speak the language (3rd language style). I have a germanic name, I was born in a very Germanophile family, my father speaks fluent german and used to send me to Germany every year when I was a kid. I have many german friends and had a german girlfriend for 10 yrs. That'll do I think

  • Wilhelm was brought up bilingual and was said to be unaware of whether he was speaking German or English. His accent is of interest here: his grandmother was Queen Victoria, who was also bilingual in the same way. His father Friedrich Wilhelm III and the Queen might have sounded much like this. It's as close as we will ever get.

  • @stwica Really? By 1914 the German Empire was essentially a military dictatorship run by Hindenburg and Ludendorff which persecuted minorities. The Kaiser was either a royal idiot or extremely naive, probably the latter.

Help Germany in WW2? You mean help the country that exterminated millions of people in concentration camps and invaded, raped and destroyed the whole of Europe as well as denying freedom to everyone? Really??? Do you wanna give Hitler a Nobel Peace prize also?

    Nonesense!

  • @BlunderCity My relative was in the Kaiser's army in ww1, and I'm proud of it. I happen to disagree with you. The goverment was not a dictatorship, nor did they wreak havoc on Europe as Hitler's regime did. The Kaiser was inexperienced, but he ruled his country better than Nicholas II. Contrary to popular opinion, Kaiser Wilhelm was not a war lord and did not seek a war. Get your facts straight.

  • @stwica Acctually its still the sandwich's fault... If you know what i mean.

  • @stwica indeed... It was simply a chain reaction... i think that The terrorist group "black hand" never intended to start a WW1... They just wanted to have Bosnia free...

  • @mrTKthemammoth Ironically, Bosnia ended up going into Yugoslavia, rather than becoming independent.

  • @LtBuckCompton Sigh* Yeah.. That's true... Oh the irony :/

  • @stwica On youre disscusion with this Nibple... If we go really deep into the subject of who caused the war we can see that the "guilty one" was not EXACTLY germany, not really Gavrilo princip either (although he shot Ferdinand) But none the less... The SANDWICH. Know what i mean?

  • Many of these posts reflect massively ignorant and historically-blind perspectives. Germany has become significantly wealthier under democracy as it ever could hope to achieve under its various autocratic regimes. Prior to 1949 Germany was in many ways economically backward, but it is now the 3rd largest world economy AND a peaceful member of Europe and the international community. Those who long for a Germany of old are fools.

  • In 1914 Germany was the most powerful industrial nation in Europe. And as we know Europe was the center of world powers so Germany was essentially also the most powerful industrial nation in the world. Imperial Germany was leader in scientific progress and because of that 1/3 of nobel prizes went tot Imperial German scientists for scientific achievements. Not to mention Germany had the most powerful army and one of the most powerful fleet in the entire world.

  • @gcb34399 This is true, but Monarchic Germany (the 2nd Reich to be more accurate) was great in industrialization, we must not forget that, even though as it is commonly known, military funds were high within Germany. Economic crisis only really came about after Hindenburg and Ludendorff started their unofficial military dictatorship of Germany, for there was much deprived from citizens for soldiers in the field, and the spending on the Ottomans to slow down their declining rate.

  • I see your point in maybe helping Germany in WW1 but WW2? Why would we ally ourselves with Adolf Hitler?

  • english subtitles please

  • @stwica Well said! I feel the same way. I am an American who's heritage is from Germany, i have as much nationalism for Germany as i do for America.

  • @Tharagus Same here, Wilhelm never wanted war, like Charles of Austria-Hungary, Wilhelm was persuaded to war by his generals.

  • @LtBuckCompton That's because he was an incompetent leader, who made misstake after misstake.

  • @LtBuckCompton Balls, Bismark was the one who didn't want war, Wilhelm II was an ignorant fool who thought that war with France would mean a large colonial empire. He also tried to compete with Britian's navy. These were personal ambitions of his. He did have a large role in starting the war.

  • @TheLiberalKnight This is untrue from how I read it in books, but each book has its own story, and this is still in debate. Yes Wilhelm II made movements towards war such as the Naval Bills and the expansion of it. And Bismarck? Maybe he didn't want a World War, but he sure did initiate some wars. It is said that Bismarck warned Wilhelm of a War emerging in the Balkans 20 years after his death (both the Balkan War ans WWI) But Wilhelm is said like Charles to have been pressured by generals.

  • @LtBuckCompton Bismark was careful not to offend Britain or compete with the British navy. Wilhelm threw that out of the window, he did everything in his power to rival British naval power, which was offensive to a country that depended on naval power for it's very survival. It was Wilhelm who had the ultimate say in foreign affairs, not parliament. He wanted a war with France in order to secure German colonies around the globe.

  • @TheLiberalKnight

How many times has Germany been attacked by the french during its history. War is never one sided. Greatest tragedy of all this was that it created the USSR.

  • oh man. what the hell are u writing? think twice.

  • translation please

  • I'm a healthy aryan male from the U.S.A. I'm looking for a healthy and buxom aryan female from virtually anywhere. I'd prefer a German who is fluent in English.

  • Very interesting - i have no idea what he is saying. can anyone translate it? or just write what he is saying in german?

  • Amazing footage. Really enjoy watching the march and the massive hat wave/salute. Sigh ... curse the morons in the post-Bismarck diplomatic corp!

  • Wonder how many of these guys made it to Paris 20 years latter. Hitler and Amann were at least few who fought against the french in WW1 but never got to see Paris.

Paris was a great disappointment to Adolf. Interesting fact is that many french WW1 "heroes" were friends with some high-ranking nazis like for example Rene Fonck who was a friend of Göring and Udet.

  • Heil dir Wilhelm von Gottes Gnaden König von Preußen und Kaiser von Deutschland

  • This is the first time I've heard his voice. He sounds a slightly highly strung person.

  • His biggest mistake was that he let the jews serve in the army and gave them political and economic rights. He should have treated them like his cousin the Tsar did in Russia.

If only Bismarck had been the leader of Germany instead of this fool.

The same can the french say about Napoleon III and the pathetic "government" they had before WWII.
