@SingingChocolate2009 the longest I've worn a wig was 3 weeks in the beginning of me wearing them. Now no longer than 2 weeks. We must allow our scalp to breath although handtied wigs are the best wigs as far a breathability ( hope that's a word). We must not neglect our hair and scalp. Where did you get that cap? I need it! The caps i usually use are a bit darker at them hem and the rest is transparent and it shows under my lace. I need something more opaque than stocking transparent.

I just paid someone $700 to give me micro-pinch braids and they knotted up against my scalp and had to be cut out after only 1 1/2 months and my head has been shaved in back. I'm in tears. I wash, condition, and wrap my hair underneath. I change my wig out no longer than 2 weeks at a time, sometimes shorter time lengths.. it depends, but no longer than 2 weeks.. If my wigs lifts after a week, I may clean the lifted area, apply glue, and re-apply, and other times I'll just remove.. My hairs healthy and I'm grateful to the wigs for this..
i have a question my friend had gotten a full lace wig and i was thinking about getting one but she said that it made her real hair come out on the edges where u place the tape or glue so does it really pull your hair out around the edges or did she not put it on right?
Hey love.. please do not place adhesives on your hair... it will suffocate the hair follicles as heavy greases do, and removing improperly will tear them out as well.... I have alopecia so it's different with me but if you do not have ailments, apply adhesives and tapes below your hairline, not on it.. K... blessings,
what's the difference between the invisibond and the glue? thought it was the same thing? also is it only invisibond that can be applied on the wig...because before seeing this vid i thought you should only apply adhesive (i use davilyn) to your protected scalp but not to the wig itself

Hey Sofiajay, some adhesives are designed to be "sandwiched" as stated in my video.. Oil resistant white glue, invisibond, and vapon are all examples of pressure sensitive adhesives. They work better on combined to each other and adhered with pressure from you pressing the wig onto your head. Davlyn is not designed for this method. Most silicon adhesives i.e. Davlyn, Ultrahold, etc. are only meant to apply to the skin, air dry, and apply. HTH ;-)
Idk why my wig wont stay on for more than a few hours at most. I apply the wig just like the vids (I have seen many) but it still wont say on. Is there anything else I can try?

Question...some women shave about 1/2inch to 1inch of hair off their hairline as to give more space for the wig itself. Do you do this? I ask because i notice that your hairline seems to be lighter than the rest of your forehead (lol i know..attention to detail). Do you recommend that?

cap size usually means the circumference and other measurements used in making a wig. If the circumference is 22.5 this is usually a medium cap. You have to measure around your head along your hairline to see if this is your size or atleast 1/4th of an inch larger or smaller.... sorry for the late reply babe.. blessings,

I do use a medium brown lace and I also use a darker wig cap either dyed or I shade my wig caps with my makeup... bleached knots just adds some umph to it! blessings,

That really depends love.. African Americans have over 40 different hair textures.. so we must find a texture that will fit and suit you in the end... Well thank you sistah... My wigs last me about a year and a half, before I change out.. it's best to have two lace wigs on hand at all time, to change out and prolong the life of the wig.. I'm going for holdinig a wig for 5 years as have been reported.. we'll see..lol... thx for your comment
I let Ultrahold dry for about 8-10 minutes.. Invisibond is ready as soon as it dries clear, Spirit Gum takes about 1 minute to get nice and tacky.. Make sure to let the adhesive properly dry so that it does not bleed into the lace K... Blessings,

Ultrahold can last longer than 2 weeks for some people.. I choose to wear my wigs for only 2 weeks at a time max! We must still care for our hair underneath you know what I mean... Try our tubers out.. they are awesome...
There are many for different people.. A almost positive in my book is our Ultratubers... only $11 for the summer months.. Ultrahold is hands down my favorite..

Yes take some acetone or your favorite adhesive remover, dip a toothbrush into the remover, and brush through the hair that has the adhesive on it... Be sure not to brush your hairline too much.. I'll do a video for you ok! ;-)

Hi! You do have the option with lesser aggressive wig adhesives and tapes, to apply everyday and remove every night. I use mostly extended bonds for personal wear, that last from 1-2 weeks before I choose to remove. What is the holding time you are looking for?

is that silky or yaki hair? which one would you suggest for afircan americans.. some ppl tell me yaki because its more natural but other people tell me that silky looks nicer. I always though silky made it obvious that your hair was not real lol..help me :)

That really depends love.. African Americans have over 40 different hair textures.. so we must find a texture that will fit and suit you in the end... With correct ventilating techniques, cap constructions, correct applications, etc. People may speculate.. but they'll never be able to really tell.. contact me about options love.. K...

this video helped me so much=) but i have few other questions maybe you can answer im moving to guam my husbands in the navy i have a head full of Hair i usually get weaves but i have been looking into the purchase of a lace wig i have good edges and a widows peak WILL the lace wig damage my hair and is IT OK to wear a lace wig everyday i like my HAIR kinda thick but not lions maine lol what densisty would you recommend hopefully i didnt ask to much your response would be greatly appreciated

Well thank you sistah... My wigs last me about a year and a half, before I change out.. it's best to have two lace wigs on hand at all time, to change out and prolong the life of the wig.. I'm going for holdinig a wig for 5 years as have been reported.. we'll see..lol... thx for your comment

I let Ultrahold dry for about 8-10 minutes.. Invisibond is ready as soon as it dries clear, Spirit Gum takes about 1 minute to get nice and tacky.. Make sure to let the adhesive properly dry so that it does not bleed into the lace K... Blessings,

Ultrahold can last longer than 2 weeks for some people.. I choose to wear my wigs for only 2 weeks at a time max! We must still care for our hair underneath you know what I mean... Try our tubers out.. they are awesome...

There are many for different people.. A almost positive in my book is our Ultratubers... only $11 for the summer months.. Ultrahold is hands down my favorite..

Yes take some acetone or your favorite adhesive remover, dip a toothbrush into the remover, and brush through the hair that has the adhesive on it... Be sure not to brush your hairline too much.. I'll do a video for you ok! ;-)

yep.. well.. sometimes.. it depends on how out there I want to take my app.. I apply in many different ways.. it depends on what I'm looking to accomplish with the app.. i.e. extended wear, daily, etc...

Oh, you are so welcome ,.. it's not a problem. When I mean Custom made, I mean that your wig will be made from scratch. We will need your measurements, lace option, cap construction options, hair type, etc. in order to make a wig that is made especially for you!

yeah thanks for the reply.. there are a few salons that does lacewigs but thats mainly in the capital which is london and i where i live dont really offer that kind of style which is more in the country and other smaller cites, that is yorkshire.
either they haven't heard about it or its not practiced as well in london. and their are a lot companies that would love the idea of ripping you off and taking your money whethe you are satisfied or not!

Hi! You do have the option with lesser aggressive wig adhesives and tapes, to apply everyday and remove every night. I use mostly extended bonds for personal wear, that last from 1-2 weeks before I choose to remove. What is the holding time you are looking for?
