  • i have visited this cementery and i have never seen so beautiful cementery ,the lawn is absolutly perfect and all the garden .we see all the respect for these men

  • My grandfather was in the first wave of D-Day and he got hit in the arm

  • @warriorprince1010

the UK was attacked in the Battle of Britain

  • And let´s not forget our Soviet Comrades, who died in millions (23 to be exact) The battle of Kursk and Stalingrad. Those were the true heroes. Those were the ones who won the war. These deserve honour, not more than the suppresed Europeans and the late Americans, but just not forget them =)

  • I´ve actually been there. It was frightening how big that place was.

Btw, everyone seem to talk about Americans during the assault, and yeah Americans did play a big part in Operation Overlord, about half of the strenght. But then the other half (or a bit more) were Brits, Canadians, Astralians, Poles, French, Norweigans, Dutch and more. These men deserve honour too.

  • I was actually talking about America, and Britain was attacked. THE BLITZ.

  • Yeah that is true you were attacked but not from Germany you were attacked from the Japs. You were going out to the pacific at first to fight but most of the soldiers got sent across the atlantic to fight the Germans.

It was mainly Britain, France, Holland etc. who really had to defend themselves in Europe. America wasn't really threatened much by the Germans at that time but you fought to save a potential danger of been overrun by Nazi Parliament, but yeah good point.

  • @kylegers holland had to defend themselves??? al germany did was drop bombs on ROtterdam untill almost nothing was left. During the bombardment drive tanks into holland. So my country(yea im dutch) surrendered.

  • To My American Brothers, RIP, God Bless Each Of You And Thank You For Your Service.

  • Never forget. We are very grateful to these men who fought and helped us to liberate France.

  • so amazing they could move that many troops in one day apparentely it took 2 weeks to make that dancing t-mobile advert

  • Very moving video. Thank you so much for posting it.

  • Please keep your political agenda out of here (wether I agree with them or not this is not meant to be a forum). This video was meant to showcase the extraordinary sacrifice of so many. Thanks to all that have given a few minutes to view it and share their thoughts.

  • To think that thousands of our U.S. countrymen lay there in another country across the ocean -France, never to return to the small towns and cities of the U.S. They did it because it needed to be done. Yes, for us, but at that time in the war it was to liberate another people. People they had never met. God, what a generation.

  • it dossent matter who the best is in ww2 we al now that those soldiers died for our freedom

  • salute to the heroes!!

    ellie, zagreb, croatia

  • No, the 3 largest navy, not the best, looks like people just cares about who's the best and who's not.

Each one of those soldiers was "best" it's not depending on which force or navy you come from, everyone fights together and die together.

They all did a great job, and that's because they did it together.

  • Nicely done. R.I.P. to the fallen that day. None but respect for our saviors.
