Very natural and down to earth. He doesn't come across as an idealistic fanatic. When I was a kid, I used to think his voice reminded me of Stevie Wonder's voice. Great singer. Great testimony. Great attitude. Talks about Jesus but in a very matter of fact way. I really love it when Christians do that. Too many people try to make Christians look wacky. Matthew Ward isn't "wacky" at all.

Iv'e always said that Matthew Ward has one of the most controlled voices in both Christian and secular music, and even in a sitting position. Man can this guy sing. I saw 2nd chapter in the mid 80's right after I got saved. The most inspiring vocalists ever. Thanks so much for the video.

We were in the Ministry in Texas. My Mom had just died. My Church was treating us badly. We heard them "Lillies of the Field", so so powerful the ministry of Spirit of Lord to touch, let the tears flow, and bring the healing! Thank You brother & sisters!

I just love this family...I just read that Annie wrote this song and told Matthew it was meant for him to sing it...God gave it to her during the time she was praying for him as he endured Cancer treatments and all the difficulty he faced during his bout with cancer. What a beautiful song...I am in awe of it.

Oh man! That was a walk down memory lane. If only I had the time to tell you want Matthew Ward and 2nd Chapter of Acts means to me. Suffice it to say that God was with me through Matthew's muscial gift during the main times of upheaval in the 70's and 80's. My daughters think his name is Edmond from going to sleep listening to his "Roar of Love" cd. God bless Matthew Ward and his amazing ministry, not only through song, but with his very life.

Thanks for posting this. His book is good, too. I have a slightly related question for any other Matthew ward/2nd chapter fans. What happened to the other older 2nd chapter of acts videos? I cant find them anymore.

me too, where are they? especially the one where matthew sings, 'till the walls fall down'. it was a tv show production i think. i had never seen it before. and then as suddenly as it was up, it was gone. it's the most amazing recording i've ever heard live. when he was around 19 i heard him sing with his sisters in florida.  i have never heard a live performance as amazing as that!

i went to a few more shows over the years. and they were just as amazing !
