limiter depends on the year, i believe 2000,2004,2005 is @ 8,200 rpm while 01-03 is 7,800. This car isn't boosted but it obviously does have lots of engine work done(I/H/E, cams, valves, springs, retainers, port & polish and im guessing a power fc) 2zz's are alot faster than most of you pretend to know

on a dyno? there's no way it can go that fast...it sounds like a vvt-i but no turbo or supercharger

u maybe right...i'm really not sure... but i have made my engine speed fall that fast. by accident couple times and i noticed it.. like i would be in 5 gear at 100 mph, which i think is like 4,500 rpm or 5,500 one of those. and i would press brakes while its still in gear.

@andykauffman82 na its not fake. my own is the 2000 celica gt. at 4,000 rpm in first gear is like 20 mph also. and 2nd gear can go up to 60. but my rev limit stops at 6,900rpm. gts is higher but dont kno how much.

@d3vjak you have to get what we call "a gifted" motor, or in other word a motor that dyno's more than the avg motor, as we all know every motor performs different from each other even though they are the exact motor. i think this clip is an example of that, the owner then microni (his name on the car forum) posted this up n man his celica was fast

I was always fond of this video a while ago...but lately I started thinking! The way he decelerates at the end, sounds like he is on a DYNO with no load, which would explain why it accelerates so fast. What you guys think?

i just dont understand is that stock VVTL-i? because i got year 2000 VVTL-i aswell but i find when i kick the gas my rpm go so slow unlike here it's like turbo or something... could you please tell me if this is only a stock VVTL-i engine?

@pancracius09 dude its stock, plus the car is a 03 or a 05, it cuts out at 8000 so nothing is done to the ecu, your car is runing slugish thats all, need a tune up
