However I heard that his record company were not willing to leave it on their cd as at that time the group did not have a recording contract. The group Fenrik Lane have since re-recorded it and it is on their last album, without Kurt. Kurt has sung this during his concert tour in 2010.

It's so wierd that they were so skeptical about letting him through and then he went on to win not just norwegian idol but world idol. Especially since he wrote the words and lyrics for that song and that in and of itself was enough to win me over.

They put the IDOL before the TALENT.

I have auditioned for Canadian Idol 3 times, and never even made it past the first tier. But, there were also phenomonal singers in my groups that did not make it either.

You have to have "Star Quality" to make it in these shows. You'd have better luck starting out on your own.
