I spent a summer in Chatham on the Cape 20 years ago which isn't too far from P-town. It was a well known fact back then that P-town had a huge gay population. I'm not gay and neither were any of my friends but we went there often. It's a beautiful and fun place to hang out. Plenty of good restaurants & great nightlife. I remember it as kind of a beehive of activity.
If you have a problem with gay people, don't go there. P-town doesn't need visitors like that.
I posted on here a year ago already?! Just as well I'm off to P-town tomorrow again! YAY. I've missed it so much. This video brings a tear to my eye, lol.
@samsterno9 do some research before you go someplace next time..... yeah, don't want your kids to be comfortable with people who are 'different'..... (tongue in cheek)
I regret not taking the time to appreciate more of Provincetown even though I live on the Cape. This video is a great tribute to its many plusses. Makes me want to hop in my car, brave the traffic, ... and be there to enjoy it.
cute song! iv never been to Ptown but i saw a documentary about it on logo on demand! id love to visit some time! it will be a strange feeling to be able to hold my boyfriends hand in public!
Beautiful--great song----I love Provincetown--I wish everyplace was like this--gay,lesbian,straight,everyone gets along, everyone is friendly. I have new Ptown "family" I look forward to being with every summer.
im not gay,but i love provincetown.me and my girlfriend were there last summer, the dunes are just amazing.restaurants are also very good, one we went to on commercial street had a piano player, and then it turned into one big party.the gay people were very nice to us (unlike what newspapers were saying)and the whale watch was great
And the Provincetown experience would be even better if the town took control of Herring Cove. The gay hating federal rangers who apparently like to shock visitors enjoying that Freedom with random invasions based on agendas disconnected with Provincetown culture. I'd rather see rangers shooing away boats polluting the scene on the outer beaches rather than having them patrol men's beachwear on shore.

The Freedom, yes. Like no where else.
