wow, that's pretty intense. Do you think if you shaped your wood components so they had more surface contact with the metal you would get more resonance, or do you think its about as good as it could get?

The wood is fairly flush with the flat surface of the pan. The two dots on the neck are a couple of bolts attaching it to the bedpan. Installing a sound board over the hole would probably add to the sound.

@ragtagbag That's what I was thinking-put a thin board of mahogany or such over the big center hole, and use the back hole for the sound hole-might make an interesting effect. But that's just me. Sounds good, though a bit soft.
