@PACER2320 I'm liking it too. I have a few more cans and think I'm going to experiment with some different sized holes and the amount of holes I punch in it.
Check out zenstoves(dot)net. They have an excellent selection of alcohol stove building instructions. I've built pretty much all of them. My favorite is the Pressurized Jet Stove. I have a video on it on my channel if you are interested. I also love the Evernew Ti DX Set and Tinny's Bongo Pro. Keep up the great videos.
Nice video. I love the cat stove for its simplicity but problem with them is that you really a stove with a base diameter of 6" or larger to get the best efficiency from them. Perhaps a stove like the minibulldesigns mini atomic would be better for your pot since the flame pattern is focused to a point. The downside is you then need to carry a pot stand or integrate one into your windscreen.
I got addicted to making these. Here are a few tips:
- Let the metal wind screen go all the way around pot and secure with heavy duty paperclips. Add holes to bottom edge to let in air. Oh, and round those corners. Don't bend the screen. It will keep shape after a night in the pot.
- Use a bandanna to cut down noise. Put in pot first, then windscreen and everything else, tuck in the extra at top to cushion and reduce noise.
- After you make a few, go buy a god one from minibull designs.
Any updates with the setup?

The background noise reminded me of Eraserhead.
I had some surgeries a few years ago so my only option is ultra lightweight. The cat stove has served me well.
Great video. My only criticism is I would do something different with the wind screen.

You should try making a "flat cat" alcohol stove. I use one in my cooking kit and I've done a boil test on it. Great video keep it up. :)

I lost a little less than half a pound by switching to an alcohol stove!

Great vid love the cat stove. I made one put of a 5 oz tuna can. Using 3/16 holes. Starting to like better than the pepsi can stove.

Love the supercat stove. I used a drill to make mine. The thing is bullet proof.
