A little Hollywood "magic" and a lot of elbow grease. I used one of those clear Lego sticks that attached to Anakin and just lifted him up as I filmed. Then in a graphics program, just "removed" the stick.
I used a program called VideoMachine to break the avi into frames. Then I used Paint Shop Pro to remove the stick/add light sabre effects, etc., then used VideoMachine to put the frames back into an avi file. I've also used Photoshop Elements to do this as well.
You must not be familiar with the Star Wars universe. :-) Vader was seriously injured and requires the "suit" to survive as it provides him with a resperator to breathe. It continues to "breathe" even while he talks. Watch the actual Star Wars movies and you'll understand... :-)
Well, it's suppose to be a Trilogy. The first episode, "Darkness Falls" is the beginning... "Midnight" is the second (middle of the "night") in the trilogy and the darkest of the three - . The next one is called "A New Dawn." Kind of simple if you think about it... Kind of stupid too. ha!
fine its "your" story so i guess u can cut off what hand u want..and lol eleven year old that sounds like a 6 year old lol no offence to who did it but still thats funny
The professional term for it is "rotoscoping." In simple terms, it is basically painting the graphic of the lightsaber on each frame of video. You can use various graphics programs like Photoshop or Paint Shop Pro to accomplish this. Takes a lot of time!
It took most of Sept. through Dec. (2006) to finish it up. We had done the script writing and some of the filming eariler than that, but since we don't have a lot of time to mess with this stuff, it takes a long time to get it done. Thanks for watching!

yes i know but you cant talk while breathing
bonecrusher102 3 years ago
wait what i mean is....if you were listening...when vader was rising from the operation table he inhaled first then spoke then breathed out
bonecrusher102 3 years ago
well... I just had a "breathing" sound effect that I used and it not always synced up with the speaking parts. Sorry... I tried my best. :-)

It was good I'll give it 3 stars.I would give 5 stars if they didn't talk cause I dont like lego videos where they are talking ^^

how did you get the star destroyers there 300 bucks each

The animation was pretty good. But the voice acting was terrible in most cases and the scripting lacked any substance.
Just my opinion.

just a few notes of things i noticed
1. u used the obi wan from the episote 2 sets
2. anakins hand that wasnt cut off was suppose to be the robot one
3. anakin sounds like a 6 year old lol

Just to reply to your observations:
1. Correct. It's the Obi-Wan minifig that came with the Jedi Starfighter set to be exact.
2. I'm not trying to exactly follow the movies. This is "my" story, so I can cut off which ever hand I want. :-)
3. Actually, his voice came from an eleven year old. His voice hasn't changed yet, so all young boys sound like a six year old. :-)
Thanks for commenting and I hope you enjoyed the "show."
