Authentic love is the free will and choice to love someone and commit your trust to someone. Cheating on them is the worst form of treachery there is. This movie tries to glamorize it. That is why I hate hollywood.
She does a masterful job of portraying a woman from young and naive to successful middle-aged businesswoman. Alda is the ONLY actor, imo, who could have played the part in the movie version. Burstyn is simply beautiful from beginning to end. The music is haunting. Five stars!

I love this film. It so perceptively tackles the challenges that constricted love faces. Happy ever after. I love you Jenny Primrose.
