Alonzo Washington was an activist in K.C. who always kept Precious Doe's case in the public eye. The killer was found guilty today of first-degree murder and will be sentenced to mandatory life in prison. This was a novel case (in Missouri, at least) as it relied on a premeditated killing on the basis

of an omission, the killer caused her serious injuries while intoxicated with cocaine I believe, which typically would constitute 2nd degree murder, however after he became sober, the child was still alive and he devised a plan to deny her medical care and disposed of her body when she died.
