  • great video thanks

  • some great inforamtion here thanks

  • you have some great stuff here

  • Marie Antoinette was so misunderstood,i really feel sorry for her.Jane seymour is the best actress to play her, they portray her as not an angel but not a devil either.

  • Thank you uploader!!!

  • Holy crap! I never thought I'd see this again! I saw it like 20 years ago on CTV in Canada.

  • Thank you !!! This brings back so many memories of being a teenager watching this in history class! Loved it then and love it now!

  • dude, this video is so rare, thanks for upping it :)

  • Where are priests in america; that brave enough to stand up for their own people?

  • thanks

  • u have 2 love danton ( Klaus maria brandauer ) in this series. lol

  • Royal

  • French traitors and republican scum

  • They weren't gay it was fashion back them. You can all expect that in 200 years or so people would look back to us and may say the same.

  • @juultjuh99 Nah...this shit is unforgivably gay, for all of eternity, no matta the era...but I must admit they must be bisexual though as the French peeps still roam the earth.

  • @Houseofthe7gayboys And that comes out of an American mouth xD. If their is one nation who claims to rule the world then it are the Americans. At least European aristocracy was civilized and educated (what you think of fashion is your opinion). Don't forget that every single white American citizen is from European origin (French, British, Dutch etc). I am not French but I admit that France is the ruling nation of Europe so it still has a lot of influence.

  • The narrator needs to shut the hell up.

  • Where did you get the english version of this film?

  • How gay were the men back then.

  • @Anarchistt86 You have to remember, they are French. It's genetic.

  • @maureenOWW

    Shut up stupid Engaylish.

Yes they were gay because they were aristocrats, not because they were French.

And in France we beheaded the aristocrats while the British were happy to suck the cock of their "Lords". They still have an aristocracy and a monarchy in Engayland.

    Gay= Engayland.

In Engayland the gays can even make marriages. Ask Elton John, the stereotype of the British happy to show to the world that he is married while he takes a dick on his ass every day.

  • And just look the whole movie to see if the French are gays.

And just remember: when our people killed these so-called "gays" aristocrats and next conquered and changed Europe with their revolutionnary armies, the Engaylish were assfucked by their Lords everyday, think about it.

  • @Freez57fr obviously u havent read Voltaires 'Les Lettres philosophiques', otherwise u would know what a stupid comment u made

  • @Freez57fr Your bigoted comment makes you sound at once stupid and incredibly ineffective.

  • @Anarchistt86 very very very gay!

  • Wow, it's amazing that the church back in those time did not only preach the word of God but was also like a public service broadcaster.

  • Thank God for the REVOLUTION.

  • Thanks very much for having posted it!

  • Can anyone recommend another thorough movie about the french revolution?

  • Why did the king have a mask on his face?

  • so they the hair powder wont get on his face and in his eyes.

  • Academic Decathlon yeah!!!

  • This is rubbish!, Louis XVI would have never waved his hand like a snob! he was a very loving person, and thats what got him into trouble in the end, when he tried to please the peasants, and he tried to please the nobles too and in the end he managed to please no one, but he truly tried. Rumors also have it that he used to disguise himself and go out and give alms to the poor, and was only found out when one guard allegedly saw him dressed as a peasant returning to his chamber.

  • With an introduction that the Queen was hated, BINGO there is a bias. She was too remote to have had any impact on the people, but the revolution used lies about her to gain power. She never said "let them eat cake" nor "swept from my presence this cad" nor did her jewels bankrupt the nation.

Her hair grew gray in one day and the revolution purposely have her a room with the only view being that of her son being physically abused.

  • what is this american crap?!

    "these names wilL HAUNT history"

i hope you don't use this "documentary" to learn history

  • this documentary is very accurate and very thorough you moron... accurate by the hour... don't say bullshit you idiot

  • thank you very much for posting this

  • this nartion dude cant pronce french! LAME!

  • I'm going to watch this to help study for my final exams. :D

  • DON'T !!!!! it has many errors!

  • @priest008 Oh, well it's been MONTHS since my test...XD I didn't end up using this at all; in fact, my exam didn't cover much on the topic like I originally though. Thanks for the warning though. :D

  • Listen, I don't mean that the whole film is bad, infact I was surprised to see certain facts in it, the main error is Louis XVI's sense of coldness in the beginning when he was being read to by Young Robespierre in the rain and the King just waved him off. I am sure that that is a lie, Louis XVI was known to be a loving soul and had a weak character so he tried to please everyone. he tried to please all classes and in the end they all hated him.. poor louis XVI and his family.

  • it is ironic that your names is priest008. just saying.

  • @metal664

what is so ironic? I like to consider myself an agent for God but not as good as 007 so I place it 008 :)

  • @priest008 O yea poor him fuck him dude long live the REVOLUTION.

  • @priest008 That was Louis XV cause Louis XVI was not KIng yet

  • @priest008

Yes Louis XVI was personally a kind person.

  • it's prounced (in French) Mara..(spelt)

Marat..this prounces it "Mart." though and Robsphiere is made to look evil from the start.....typical.....but thanks for the upload

  • Thx a lot for putting this online. I was searching everywhere for a version ind english!

  • thank you for this....greatly appreciated:)

  • That english narration is as annoying as it is unnecessary.

  • Nothing i type shows up in the more info. section. I did not tape this like i did with the Beachcombers. And i did not put it to DVD. The video gets a little unstable in the last few clips of part one. I cant help that. Thats how it is on the original source DVD i have.

  • @trevorwjs Where did you get the DVD?
