He returned home in his oversized bomber jacket a shadow of his former self. That night, tucking in to a plate of Dinosaur shapes and garden peas, his medallion on the mantelpiece, he felt a tear in the corner of his eye.
Matthew realized, as he was puttering around in Gary Numan’s tiny car, that no matter what else he accomplished in life; whether it was getting married; having children; a job promotion; an E Type Jaguar parked in the driveway; a swimming pool full of cocaine and women; no matter what he did, nothing could compare to that day when he met Gary Numan on Jim’ll Fix It.
The problem is not with the lip sync, it's the video codec that slid the audio track off from the video. Notice how the drums start in time with the video and are soon out of time. Originally, the video was perfectly in sync. One of the problems with youtube is it allows this kind of audio/video slip.... Gary handles it all nicely.
Tam Tamster I remember that very well all those years ago. I really love the car it's so cool I would love one myself. However I met Gary after a gig in London in 2007. He was at The Shepherds Bush Empire and a few groupies waited for him after the gig. He was ever so nice and down to earth.
all I can say is...HAHAHAHAHA...can't stop laughing because that miserable kid is me! Blame the BBC for making me put those stupid glasses on just before filming...I hated them but they thought they looked futuristic. *ahem*
WOW! Really, well me and a few friends wounder if you still go to the gigs? Did they tell you to look moody like Numan! Well you did smile towards the end of when you got the jacket and Jims badge. How lucky are you to have rode in the Numan buggy! Well jelous, but well happy you got to. I bet it was an ace day mate. Do you still have the jacket? Thanks for getting in touch, glad I kinda tracked you down.
They wanted me to look spooky...but my grumpy face was just me being mardy and also scared. The jacket is too small for me these days, not that I'd ever wear it out for fear of damaging it.
Off to Bristol and London for this round of gigs...and maybe Salisbury. Keep an eye out for a mardy guy in bad sunglasses
Ha ha, thats so cool! Well you pulled off the Numan look Matthew! Excellent, well if I owned the jacket id keep it safe too and would never wear it. Oooh, well ill be seeing you in Bristol, London and Sailsbury, also doing Oxford aswell, ill def keep an eye out for you, especially in your sunglasses! lol. Nice to know your still out there :o)
Not really...haven't spoken to Gary since Random came out (97?). I don't feel that because he was essentially paid to spend time with me that I should use that as an 'in'...unlike my dad who used to shout "JIM'LL FIX IT" at air shows whilst pointing at my head. Oh the embarrassment! If I meet him then great, otherwise I'm happy tootling along
this is the best video of all time. bar none.

He could never reach those highs again.
