beast is nothing but MOP levels and MOP gear, this course is one day, not even of all of beast. you will hate it because how retarded it is there and that you practice MOP levels ALLLLLLLLL DAY.
@HolinessWarrior no, those rifles were pure plastic, we called them rubber duckies. the only time you handle a working weapon is during CATM the week before BEAST. all that stuff you saw literally takes two hours and thats it. the rest of the week you are getting in and out of your mop gear and learning the basics of a deployed location. btw, have a wingman at all times otherwise they wont let you use the bathroom.
Yea, when I was there that hill was solid rock covered by a quarter inch of sand mixed with sharp fragments of rocks. When I got done they had to send me to the medic because I was bleeding through my ABUs. The next day they closed the hill to put more sand on it because it was getting unsafe. So not fair...
For everyone leaving who's nervous about beast. I'm being told by people just getting back that they don't really get up in your face doing the mental games Not so sure physically what the demands will be
@VictoriaFYI You have to realize (this is an example) that a mechanic in the Air Force doesn't require the same training as an infantryman in the Army. Any extra physical conditioning will be taken care of at tech school, should their work field demand it. Every Airman knows basic combat. Every Airman knows first aid. But there's no sense in a gate guard having to learn the ins and outs of a fighter jet or a cargo plane. Or a mechanic learning the authorization procedures for the road barriers
let me just say this is not an honest video..because i had to do this course in full battle rattle..as in bullet proof vest an all..in 110 degree weather.
Essentially you need to get over 18 to qualify for anything. Score between 18-36, don't expect to get an IT job or anything that requires a real skill set. Ranging between 36-45 and you qualify for mechanics, SK's (Shop Keepers), and several more challenging positions in the manual labor sort.
If you score over 50, now you're looked at for a more technical job, and if you can get in the 80s-99 and they're going to want to get you into officer's training and on a console for Crypto or Theory.
I got an 87 and they didn't ask me to be an officer, I'm a maintainer and just about all of us got much higher than a 45. Where are you getting your info?
Everyone here is hella skinny and out of shape. even the drill instructors. and this doesn't even look hard. i'm starting to feel ashamed/embarrassed that this is so hyped up. I wish everyone's basic training/boot camp was the same exact thing. --> marine boot camp. screw the beast. meet the crucible!
your probably not even in the military bro....in the end every branch has the same job its just called something different and we all fight for the same reasons
yeah... that sand hill was one of the physically hardest parts about basic... but BEAST was really fun... its nothing to be nervous about... you'll learn a lot and have a chance to actually meet people
RV, My son leaves the same date for BMT - from what I hear, you learn and train up to the level where you are ready for the BEAST. You will make mistakes but BMT/BEAST is the place to do it! Dont ever ever ever ever ever give up! YOU CAN DO IT!

Shoot, the beast looks like something I would sign up for as a civilian just for the fun of it. Do they use live ammo in this training?
