  • Чувак, ты велик! Спасибо!

  • Yes, is there is lesson two?

  • Patrick you make playing the banjo accessible to everyone. I love your book, How and Tao of Old Time Banjo. You are a very interesting narrator. Not many people can make reading an instructional book entertaining. You have great stories and a great spirit. But the Blues on BAnjo?!! Crazy! I love it. I'm getting a bottle neck!

  • Lesson 2 around somewhere?, great stuff btw.

  • Go Patrick go! Fully in agreement with the below comment. I bought a banjo yesterday, and just learned ill fly away, time for the blues! Thanks for the lesson master!

  • you are possibly the warmest most likeable man iv ever see :D

  • I love this guy, from these videos i learned how to frail and he reminds me of John Candy.

  • Thanks. Your videos are the best and this one has helped a lot. Again thanks.

  • where is frailing lesson 2 ?

  • I love it, people are always asking me for tabs and you so clearly put into words why I have none and never will. You can't tab improvisation. Thank you for your insight into the power of simplicity.

  • Hey I been practicing for a long while now... and in the few hours ive watched these vids ive learned SO much. I live in PA, come to WB and ill buy you a round of drinks man, talk about banjo

  • this is so cool i love the banjo so much now :)

  • This is too Great!!!

  • where is lesson 2?

  • Your to happy to play the blues mate. I'm a miserable sod, maybe after 10 years practice I might get good?

  • You make it look so easy. I have probably spent a total of three or four months (with big "I give up" gaps in between) trying to frail. I just can't build up a steady rhythm.

  • watch tv and frail, just sit there and frail. Until it become completely second nature. He mentions that at one point and I have taken to watching TV for like 30 min and just frailing, don't worry, you will get it eventually.

  • that's what I did for guitar used to just sit in front of the tv changing a new learnt chord to every chord I knew, probably did 1000 changes but it became second nature eventually!

I'd given up on frailing, but I'm trying it again now because of this video.

You're really good on camera, friendly, excited about what you're sharing, and a really good teacher overall. Thank you for putting this video online.

  • A dose of magic indeed. I wish I had something else to tell you, but my English vocabulary isn't wide enough to define your talent! Such an exquisite artist you are, this captures so many elements, I love this video and your work. Outstanding video! Congratulations! Поздравляю! כל הכבוד! Честитке! تهنئة 恭喜 Gratulation! A dreamscape to me
  • Patrick tells about the one most important thing in music... feeling. People need to learn to feel their music more than just learning to read music.
