no they arent. "freshman 15" is a common phrase for the weight gain that occurs during freshman year of college. since this is a college a cappella group, the founders thought it would be fun to make fun of that particular stereotype. Most of the time, to talk to idiots like you, we call ourselves "The Freshman 15" to make the whole name seem more proper, and less actual. Because, quite frankly, we can't count on all people being clever, like you good sir.

Since our main audience happens to be composed of all college students, they infact get the joke, and therefore, it is effective. But, to the general public who either a) dont go to college or b) havent been in a while, we are not going to spend time explaining ourselves within every single youtube clip. These videos are created for our families, friends, and fans.

These videos do give us a new audience, which is nice, but the main focus of our youtube clips is to give our current and expanding student fanbase easy access to our music.

And no, my tags and title are not irrelevant. I put our name in the title, and variations of our name in the tags so it is easily search able. I am not going to make our videos hard to find because you can't figure out what our name suggests.
