Wonderful! Try not to let your tempo almost run away with you; it's like watching someone on a high wire in the circus and getting an anxious feeling of something dangerously disastrous about to happen. BUT, you are superb!! with a wonderful teacher, be grateful!
If you can, can you play his etude in A flat minor, it's one of my favorite etudes of all time. I haven't really seen any video's of that particular one.
Horowitz made at least two recordings of this: one in concert and one in the studio.
You play very well for your age, although you don't need to use quite as much sustain, and if you're not using the soft pedal, it's okay to do so in places.
Yes, it's definitely the room acoustics - that's not overpedalled at all. Anyway, Horowitz doesn't use enough pedal on his DG recording, which is too dry. Daniela sounds great - keep up the good work.
revilo24: There are two recordings of Horowitz playing it: an RCA recording of 10th October 1950 reissued on a CD called 'Horowitz Encores' (the catalogue number in the UK when I bought it was GD87755) and a DG recording made in 1985. But the earlier RCA one is better, and has two more Moszkowski pieces, plus other fun items like Horowitz's own amazing arrangement of the Stars and Stripes Forever. The CD should still be available from BMG classics.

Effettivamente toglierei il pedale del tutto. In fondo mi sembra tu abbia un ottimo legato per potertelo permettere... Congratulazioni!

Skip the pedal entirely, this piece dont need it

Absolutely great. Good technique and speed. But use less pedal, notes should sound clearer since it is an etude :) Good luck to your studies!

i think its the room acoustics, not too much pedal, that gives her such a wet sound.
that's a real child prodigy. fantastic technique and musicality.

too much pedal .... but still quite a pleasant surprise. that 7 year old kid with fantaisie-impromptu is still the most incredible on youtube though.
