That depends on the available space. For the heavy things, like driving, i try to use an Xl-motor.

Hello,
I used 2 remote controllers and 3 receivers with 5x M-Motor in set 8294 so i can move 4 motors at the same time. The dump truck has 2 motors. They can move at the same time.
