Have been listening to this INCREDIBLE record since I was a kid. It was released on an album called "The Unavailable 16" on Veejay. Through years of listening, record collecting and as a dj..I don't think Curtis Mayfield has ever sounded better than this early recording. Unbelievable that no one has covered this record in pop, soul OR country. It could be a number ONE record. Thanks to all the original Impressions,VJ and their producers for this gem.
That was the last tune done by the original line-up, which was in early 1960, shortly before Jerry Butler went on his own in late 1960, and done 'He Will Break Your Heart'.
some 1 might say they have copy writes to this and will have 2 remove this 1 also have had 2 remove 4 songs so far --- so listen 2 them while still U can ---they can have copy writes without having the song download it from me claim it --make me remove it --then try to sell it 2 U

The Orignal line up of the Impressions was Curtis Mayfield, Jerry Butler, Sam Gooden, Arthur Brooks, and his Brother Richard.

Actually Curtis Mayfield is on lead on this one and Jerry Butler is on bass. What a beautiful song.
