  • awwwww baby jirds.

  • hardwood bedding is best. Soft woods such as pine and cedar give off aromas that can impair liver function over time.

  • Are you using aspen? Its what i have for my 2 now but my little mans 'snow' nose looks a bit crusty and red :( its not as bad as it was because this is the 3rd time i have changed the bedding thing they had pine, then carefresh (which even tho its suppost to be great was shit) should i stick with aspen?

  • Crusty noses with hair loss are usually bedding allergies. We use pine or a combination of pine and aspen. Never use cedar, that can be fatal to gerbils. I dislike the reclaimed pulp beddings. You could try using sand (or a combination of sand and chinchilla dust) with shredded corncobs on top. If all else fails try torn up printer paper. If you are giving them tissues for nesting make sure you buy the cheap white no aloe kind.

  • wow little gerbils everywhere

  • u shouldnt use that wire spoked weel the tails can get caught

  • I've replied to this on multiple other videos. I have used wire wheels with my gerbils for 30 years and have never once had a wheel related injury. I have however had more than one gerbil killed by eating the plastic wheels. Don't know who started the wire wheel myth, but it is a myth.

  • Love the setup, where did u get the tank and did it actully come with the mesh on top?

  • nice set-up for the little guys. One of my gerbils is the runt of its litter and although 6 weeks old still looks tiny.

  • those gerbils r awsome i love gerbils.

  • how many do you have?@?@

  • hey, you need a solid wheel. or else the gerbils mught get caught!

  • Nice but a broken pot for a young gerbil not good

  • That pot has gone through 6 batches of gerbils. It was new, never planted in, when we broke it and the edges were filed. It is a perfectly safe hidey hole.

  • Putting that much stuff in isn't so great for gerbils pups the can get trapped and die

  • Have never had that problem. The more odd items, the greater the stimulation, the better the brain development, the more stable the gerbil personality.

  • yeah but when they are really little they explore too many things sometimes

  • Loveeee them! how many are there?\i have four, but watch out with the wheel! If their tails get stuck there's trouble (mine lost its tail to a keyboard so everything is dangerous!)

  • your keybored is evil mine not so much

  • gerbils are little and soooo cuuuteeee <3

  • omg massive tank i have 2 gerbils they dont have a clue how to use the wheel lol! and by the way u should have a solid wheel cause of their tails but cool gerbils x

  • That looks like the tank I got for my gerbils I bought the biggest fish tank I could find!!! Filled it with sand, saw dust logs and even put a cage on the top for them to run up to - a bit like a high rise building - they loved it they were so happy after living in a horrible little tank in the pet shop they were almost smiling!!! Makes me happy to see gerbils who have space

  • the little GERBIL IS SO CUUUUUTE

  • so cute! youre cage gave me a great idea, so im redecorating Lillians cage rite now and we thank you!

  • How big is that tank?

    Please Let Me Know.

  • It is about 3 feet long by about 14 inches deep and about 14 inches high.

  • nice cage desingn.... i´ll try it at my gerbils ^^
