  • The drinking age is 18 where I live and where all doing fine. The US should use Canada as an example of why the age should be lowered.

  • It's legal in Denmark from the age of 16 to buy weak alcohol like beer and cider, just things below around 15% of alcohol.

Then at the age of 18 all kinds of alcohol can be bought legally along with tobacco. And I think it's fine to have those pre-drinking years before 18 were you can get used to alcohol through maybe only drinking the not to strong types. Then again, I'm 17 and have been drunk in all kinds of alcohol from beer and ciders to wine and vodka!

  • @BalleBaest the US is kinda strict on alot of stuff like drinking, marijuana, nudity, age of consent, and the list goes on...

  • Oi vey-__-youtuber comment war..but I agree, being exposed to alcohol sooner might make you a more tolerant person, but kids my age(16) are already exposed and do consume it, and it doesn't seem to be making much difference:/while there are still laws, people incorrigible enough will still break them

  • I find it so strange that the legal drinking age is 21 in America......I'm in Australia, and we're legally adults, and can start drinking, at the age of 18, which to me makes sense. Why should you be an adult for 3 years before you're allowed to drink?

Regardless, youth will always drink illlegally. If anything (as you said) I drank a lot MORE when I was underage (because we usually had a large bottle of some spirit), rather than now, where I have a few drinks out because they're so expensive!

  • @SarahDempsey92 i agree

  • Coors Beer used to be Illegal to possess in Georgia and it was the best tasting beer in the World then according to my parents, now that you can buy it anywhere its forgotten almost totally

  • Right in the spot. It could be lowered to 16.. and then to 14, etc.

What i think is that it should be legal to drink at whatever age, Since people are going to do it the same. Specially in adolescence, when everything prohibited is an attraction.

If the problem is that young people are not responsable enough to drink, don't ban drinking (since drinking is not the problem); make them responsable, educate them, So that they will have criteria to decide.

  • Better yet just make alcohol into a powder to be mixed with liquids....

The sale of alcoholic beverages is illegal to those not of age....

No laws about solid form of alcohol.

  • @theweave2587 interesting point of view

  • Joe what kinda camera/lense combo do you use?

how do you make your vids look so professional

  • @theweave2587 i use a Canon T3i DSLR with the kit lense...as for looking professional. That's just how it looks. I dont do anything special. Just adjust the settings in the camera, shoot, edit, and upload. It actually loses a little quality when i export from final cut to keep the file size down.

  • I am a huge anti alcohol person, I think it should be pushed back a lot. I dont understand drinking underage, it seems like people do it who are self conscious and want to fit it in. I mean its really bad for you, so why do it.

  • @tisaacify there are alot worse things than drinking, but my point was that if a person is old enough to be put on trial as an adult, then they should be able to drink.

  • @joesomebody1986 It doesnt matter that there are worse things than drinking...drinking kills and the younger the person is the more his life can be screwed up.

  • @tisaacify Somehow i think your misunderstanding what I'm saying. The argument is about what age drinking is legal not whether drinking is healthy. Eating fast food is bad for you and people are exposed to it at young ages too and it can have equally as devastating effects on ones life. But with control and responsibility people can still consume and be healthy. I am NOT pushing for everyone to get drunk at a young age, just that being a legal adult but having to wait to drink is weird.

  • @tisaacify drinking kills, guns kill. but youre legally allowed to have the tools capable of taking a life earlier then you are allowed to legally get drunk. its pretty stupid really. i think you totally missed the point of the video lol

  • @shamitri But the reason for guns are for self defense, and the reason for alcohol is I guess to get a different feeling or to relax, but unfortunately in our society it is used to "be cool". And to reply to that last sentence, using your logic I can say that you are an ignorant asshole who is stupid(because I am assuming things) (just like you did). LOL

  • @tisaacify hahaha. is that why the USA has the highest death rate in the world due to guns? mate, guns kill more people per annum then alcohol, and most of those gun deaths are suicide or homicide, possibly caused by alcohol, but most probably caused in relation to other drug abuse. the need for guns in the US constitution stems back from Imperial Britain, when the future of the united states was uncertain. yeah, things are uncertain now, but the US definitely has less need for everybody to...

  • @tisaacify everybody to have guns then when the laws on guns were first written. self defense was a great reason, but not really anymore. now they probably cause more problems than they solve

  • @shamitri why do people have guns

  • @tisaacify because its legal to go down to your local store and buy one?

  • @shamitri @tisaacify and you can buy one before you can legally consume alcohol! Which is the point!

  • @joesomebody1986 EXACTLY!!! you have the power to take a life before you have the power to get a bit woozy on booze

  • @shamitri So people have guns cause they can buy them...that makes perfect sense man.

  • @shamitri So people buy guys because it is legal? doesnt make sense man...What is the reason for people to buy guns?

  • @tisaacify apart from what i said earlier there isnt really any excuse. the best reason i have for it being legal is so that other countries think a hundred times before invading the US, the armies not the only thing for them to worry about haha. but apart from that (which in itself is unlikely anyway) i honestly think there arnt really any other reasons. i think s lot of people dont want to ban them or raise the legal age for guns because they made the US the US. its a symbol of pride for them

  • @shamitri I don't think other countries are concerned about a hunting sniper or little handguns when they are planning to invade us. I think people have guns because of safety, they feel safe with them. Ultimately, they want the safety and which translates to self defense.

  • @tisaacify well if nobody had guns they wouldnt need to buy guns themselves now would they? i dont understand why you think its right to be able to own a gun at 18 but not to be able to drink. alcohol only kills those silly enough to over indulge in it, whereas guns can kill and seriously injure anyone; not just the individual. and btw i never called you stupid, i meant the law was stupid, just to clear that up. i think i hit a nerve earlier

  • @shamitri I dont think it is right to own a gun a 18. I just think that it is stupid to compare drinking to alcohol
