  • That's Gladys Ambrose in the GMS advert, she was on Brookside too and she was brilliant. She died a while ago sadly.

  • That tax free ad half way through was rare, the rest weren't

  • 3 people from the 1980's watched this video

  • I wish you could still get Mince Mates, that sounds like an excellent product! I love mince!

  • Well that signal toothpoaste never lasred very long did it?

  • @ShaniceLavery Its still available is Signal toothpaste but its really rare these days. Usually found in pound shops. I always hated it though anyway

  • 12.5% Gross Interest pa national savings!!!!!! Still, I'm glad I didn't have a Mortgage then.

  • Twelve and a half per cent gross on the National Savings bonds? Good grief. Interestes rates (and inflation) were a lot higher then.

  • why are you so shit?

  • How chilled out are these adverts compared to the ones now.

  • So thats why we are all in the shit.the bankers were on the crunchy nut..the bastards.

  • lol

  • Haha, the Credit Crunchy Nut

  • Does your toothpaste decarease your childrens inteligence, No ? Well then you need fluoride.

  • Here's an advert that I bet no-one remembers, from the early '90s. An orange juice called "Valencina", it had a family at breakfast. "Put more sunshine into your day, the Valencina way", I think was the jingle.

  • I remember that one very well! It was always on TV and I pestered my mam to buy it, thinking it was goner be something great like the familly in the ad thought it was...

turned out to be just orange juice :)

Oh well, atleast it was better than Sunny Delight!

  • @filmnet I remember that, because I am great. That is the exact jingle. I think it was originally made by foreign nationals and dubbed into English. It just feels European. Also the slogan didn't make sense: "More sunshine, Valensina taste."

  • I remember the last one more so than the others....alrhough the train one is familiar....I think i used to want one... :D

  • So this is where TV was at the year I (Kei not john) was born. Cool man, these adds are of historical value

  • this is a NI capture....

As a baby I said 'i want to take everythin in MY stride' when I saw that advert, everyone laughted.

  • Win a Renault 21!

You can pick one up at your local knackers yard.

  • winning a renault 21 would be as bad as getting kicked in the teeth.what a hunk of shit.

  • naa...brown rust spot where it used to be.

  • This was broadcast during channel 4's showing of lesbian film "Desert Hearts". I know because I taped this.

  • Is that a young Gordon Kennedy in the crunchy nut cornflakes advert?

  • yes not bad looking ehh

  • I love how the computer uses his real name.

  • Weird how the National Savings advert involves corn flakes, and the Crunchy Nut Corn Flakes ad features offices and share prices

  • hs anyone got the advert for knorr stock cubes it has the song whats new pussycat

  • I went to the Ulster Motor Show 1990!

  • Oooh, that's good! Did you enjoy it?

  • I did - I was really into cars at that age, so seeing all the different car makers exhibiting all their cars and getting lots of car brochures was fantastic :)

  • Do you have the cartoon Golden Crown/Churn adverts where the king is having picnic and a cow swallows his mobile phone & when the king brings a fat perple dragon to burn some toast?! Also do you have the hungey hippos commercial where the kids turn into cartoon hippos?!

  • No (at least for the time being) - sorry.
