Oh my, that's a dilemma! Could you take the little critter to a cemetery around you or forest preserve in an area with lots of brush. Maybe you could make a 'nest' out of a small box: stuff it with newspaper, leaves, old rags, put the box upside down and make a small entrance hole. Secure the box under a bush w/ a stone on top or s.t. so the little guy will have some shelter....leave him some food, too.....then say a prayer...
Bless you my friend. my humane trap is almost identical and it works great. I bought mine at a Harbor Freight store. Anyhow, I caught three mice in my trap today inside my garage. The first time around it caught two. I released them all in a local wooded area away from any private residences.
those are the kind they have at foster parrots. i rescued a lost little baby in the barn of the old foster parrots, but sadly he died not long afterwards :( they would rescue any sick/injured ones and handfeed and/or nurse them back to health and then release them. :)
I have caught a mouse and want to release it ASAP but it's freaking 0 degrees outside now, any advice?

I thought it would give people an idea of where YOUR mouse wound up, too...SMILE...
I've since caught another one that went to the same location last week.

that's what I would have done. I bet you had a very nice day after that.

If I hadn't seen it with my own eyes, I would never have believed it. You are truly a "Wildlife Guardian!"
