  • dont you all know that the king in thailand, make the color pink popular? Its thanks to him, its popular here with the color PINK ON CLOTHES!!!!

  • @boonkaan, so true. Thanks.

  • "ม็อบ" is the English word "mob" transliterated into Thai.

  • @astanhope, thanks. Yes, that is the translation that I got. It can mean 'mob' or 'political group', and so on.

  • ฉันไม่เคยมีพอเพลงของไทย, ฉันขอขอบคุณที่วิดีโอที่น่ารักของคุณ

    คุณขอบคุณ

  • @vivianyazmin, thanks. Those are very kind words.

  • Heard today she is at issan tawang deang in bkk on the 20th Jan if anyone is around.

  • I recall seeing it on the TV as well but before the ban rumors. Even though only mildly political the colour is associated with a very important couple, so it may be that reason. She did have a song on a banned list in Thaksins time called tears of the lieutenants wife, must be a very old song.

The idea of Jin being an MP is really quite unrealistic and maybe was just a PR story.

  • @loytoyzzz, yes , one wonders if Jintara could survive in the world of politics. Well, you never know with her. Yes, I knew about the ban during the time of Thaksin, but had not heard the rumour of this song getting in trouble. I guess I had left Thailand before the rumours started. In any case, Jintara is a remarkable talent. I just her new album in the mail yesterday.

  • Can anyone confirm that this song was banned, if only unofficially? I have never heard her sing it in concert or heard it on the radio.

She enrolled twice at uni but only has an hon degree from Roi Et uni for contributions to Thai culture in 2004

  • @loytoyzzz, good question and good observations. I believe that I saw the video played on tv a number of times when I was in Khon Kaen in 2008, or was it 2009? This song and 'My Name is Mrs. Hian' were very popular at the time.

  • Can anyone confirm that this song was banned, if only unofficially? I have never heard her sing it in concert or heard it on the radio.

She enrolled twice at uni but only has an hon degree from Roi Et uni for contributions to Thai culture in 2004. She could not have stood as MP in the '80's as you need a degree to do so ( I believe)

  • @loytoyzzz, thanks. I think the rule about MP's requiring a degree came in with the new constitution in the late '80s or early 90s. So, Jintara might have been able to be elected if she ran for office prior to the economic crisis in 1989.

  • LOVE could sounds kind of cheese , fool , or inocent but is anyway LOVE

is the answer . Chan ruk Thailand maak maak,

  • I hope Thailand solve its politicals problems soon and keep being the Thai -Land

( the land of the free) and the country of the big smile , no like many countrys in

Latinoamerica they have many turistic destinations but they have a lot of violence

problems, We all deserve be free, happy and prosper Koop kun kha !! Love no war

  • @Vivianangelyn, political injuries take a long time to heel, and who knows what will happen during the next crisis. Jintara has the right idea though. No yellow or red shirts, just pink shirts with love on their mind.

  • hope not red shirt

  • @hakbos, not yellow shirt either, but pink shirt.

  • you know some time it is so scare have to becareful everything , same thing about . ME , she very good singer Right bob ?

  • Yes, it is unfortunate that something bad can happen at any time. I am glad that Jintara makes this happy and fun song. It is a shame about Me. The woman in the Ministry of Culture does not understand Me, and her song. So she got banned, and now the record company will not hire Me anymore, and that is a shame because Me is very talented, and popular.

  • yes it is bob this it really fun song I go the watching this one again and again too . yes she it Right . I agree with her . thank you bob very fun make me lough and smile .

  • Jintara released this song after the yellow shirts caused so many problems in Bangkok. I like her idea, her style and the song. I agree with you that it is a lot of fun, and it is better to show love to people that fighting. At one time, Jintara was going to run for election, but changed her mind. I would vote for her again and again. Thanks so much for your comments ToniDoll.

  • This song cracks me up. Whoever wrote this is genious...man..whata song!

  • Video4Training, thanks for that entertaining and perceptive comment. It is especially interesting in light of what is taking place in Bangkok now. Thailand is blessed with a number of excellent songwriters, performers and musicians.

  • @Udonthani3750 the author wrote this music because of the two mobs in mind...that was why it's special about this song. That is the reason, I said he is genious and has a good sense of humor. Thinking in a positive side, the two mobs should follow this simple principle..LOVE..Oh Thailand..united we stand...wake up brothers and sisters Thai fellows!!!!

  • Yes, I agree, it is much better to be a pink shirt under Jintara's leadership than part of the red or yellow shirts. 55555

I read somewhere that Jintara was considered for a political seat back in the late 1980s so she must know what is going on, and the writer came up with this song especially for her. Who else could do this?!?

I really appreciate your comments, they are well thought out.

  • i really love thank you for posting Jintara Song

  • Jintara is making, I think, a very sensible political and cultural statement.

She is an amazing singer and can do just about anything.

  • thank you

  • Oh, thank you. If I had to make a choice between the red and yellow shirts, I think I would want to wear a pink shirt! 55555

  • Thanks so very, very much for this, you are very kind.

  • She often changes concerts on the day so do not rely on anything you hear, unfortunately she is not reliable but that's down to her husband Jango as he deals with everything. I will let you know if I hear of anything

  • send me an email when you are here, they do not put many concerts on her website and you are not likely to get anywhere if you ring up r siam or even her husband/manager. Seen her 63 times in the last 7 years, she did a very good 94.5 concert two weeks ago. Hope you get to see her.

  • Wow, you are a really dedicated and devoted fan of Jintara

The website is never clear to me as there is usually a combination of symbols and numerals

I will e-mail you for certain. My 'tour' begins 14 August and ends 16 Sept. I hope that I will be able to see Jintara perform.

Jintara is supposed to give a free concert at the new Carrefore (sp) store in Udonthani but that may just be a rumour.

Thanks again, it is much appreciated.

  • Ubonthani3750 you know why jintara don come to america? can you tell me why?

  • Hi ToniDoll! I want her to come to Canada and America. 55555

I know that many Americans did not like hre song about 11 Septemberwas attacked. The song and video were fine, but her dancers had bare midriffs. Some American said this was in bad taste after so many people died when the World Trade Center towers collapsed after getting hit by airplanes. Jintara did not mean hurt the feelings of Americans. She just did what she does best. Sing and perform.

    Maybe this is the reason

  • She does go to USA, she did a tour four years ago.

  • Thanks for that information. I went on a website a few weeks ago, set up by an American, and saw that Jintara not only performed in SanFranciso, but also was in Vancouver, British Columbia too.

You are fortunate to have seen her perform.

I hope I get the opportunity to see Jintara live this August-September when I will be in Isaan.

    Thanks again.

  • Khun Udonthani

    I don't understand

    ม็อบ

    Is it paasaa Isaan?

  • This is a very good question, and I am not sure of the answer. For a number of weeks I was unclear of the meaning of 'mop'. Finally, I asked a friend of mine what it meant. The answer was a large gathering of people, or a group, either protesting or supporting the government. In this case, Jintara seems to be saying that both the yellow and red shirts have it wrong. Her group, the pink shirts, is a better choice because it is focused on peace and love. My help came from a Lao/IsaanUdon speaker.

  • Hi khun Udonthani

Thanks, so its a loan word of "mob".

I speak Paasaa Glaang but there are lots of paasaa Isaan words I don't understand. Thought it might have been one of them. : )

  • Oh, I do not think that Jintara is using 'mop' in the sense of 'mob'. Think of it more meaning something like 'faction', with good intentions not as a mob that might be a threat to law and order. In the song, Jintara is saying that her group (political faction) is superior to the yellow and red shirts since it is focused on peace and love. Recently, we have seen that the yellow and red shirt protesters can be anything but peaceful. I think this word 'mop' needs to be researched further. 55555

  • I have been informed by a reliable and trusted source that 'mop' is a Thai word. It is the first time that I have come across it, but that means little.

  • Thanks,

Watching Thai music videos is a great way of learning the language as well as great fun. : )

  • Yes, I agree, and in addition to Thai we sometimes can pick up some Lao words and phrases too. This song and 'Mrs. Hian' are very playful and enjoyable. But there are many more very good songs by various artists for us to enjoy. Have fun!
