There are no weapons of mass destruction. Why do u assume that because I'm an American that I agree with the War. Look at the fucking opinion polls you ignorant asshole, at the start of the war bout 1/3 of Americans disagreed with the War, thats a good 100 million people, now about 70% disagree with the War, about 200 million +.

for your information, it's not the quality that keeps Arabic cartoons from becoming popular. it's a combination of A) a different, not as universal sense of humour used in most arabic Cartoons, and B) a lack of powerfu advertising, as opposed to the television giants like Pixar, Disney, MGM and so on. likewise, we have our own movies. it's just the audience it's typically aimed at isn't as mainstream, and it's advertising cres don't have the funding to make international adverts for them...

I do respectfully agree with you that media image, and funding has so much influence in our global economy. Especially regarding media and entertainment. But at the same time, from a global perspective, whether it is Brazilian footballers, or Anime in Japan, generally these things beginsmall, and if its becomes internationally recognized as being "good",itgets picked up and used globally. For exampleGhibili was only in Japan, but it gained recognition,steppedinto hollywood.

that's where my point on the type of humour comes in. most Arabic cartoons tend to have alot of dependence on speech, accents, internal-stereotypes...etc. things that, outside of the general area it's being shown, wouldn't be understood at all. it's not an issue of quality of comedy. it's an issue of type. it's like how, using your example of Anime, most anime shows can't be appreicated fully because of certain internal jokes in accent, stereotype...etc
