I'm not an animal activist or anything, but this is just stupid. Dog's paws do not have the form for boots (hell, human feet barely do), so you're just making him uncomfortable, possibly giving him pain, so you can have a cheap laugh.
Give all of your pets to someone who knows animals are living organisms, not toys.
They aren't in pain, they just aren't used to having something over their feet. They're usually used to protect the skin on their paws from things like severe cold or road salt in the winter, which can irritate their feet if it gets trapped in spaces between their toes.

So the result may be that your dog never gets used to those boots because he has bad experiences of them. If you want your dog to get used to them, the situation on trying them on should be positive for the dog.
