I didn't live too far away from Midway Airport at the time, and every time the Sox advanced in the playoffs that year, my family and I went to Midway to greet them. After the Sox won it all, I was interviewed by a WGN Radio reporter, and was amazed at the thousands upon thousands of people who went to that airport to greet our World Series champs. I hope to do that again in 2008. GO SOX!!!!!
I was there that day! Couldn't believe all the people that showed up; the street was lined with people as far down as you could see. And driving home afterwards was also pretty cool. Everywhere you looked cars were flying White Sox flags. It seems like just yesterday! Can't wait to have the team back and healthy in '08.
